had dim sum for lunch. =)
Youth camp! brought my stuff to work so i could go to the campsite straight. last min on the bus to sentosa, before it drove off i remembered that i forgot to buy dinner, since i already told my camp grp leaders that i don't need dinner. when i reached the campsite, pearlwyn was just driving in, so i got a lift from her. the session has started already n i just found myself a space at the back. so coincidentally that my grp is just there. there were Jason n Arena, from children's camp also in my grp. kinda the first time i felt like a big sister in youth camp (sobz)... roy was also in my grp. the funny thing is, we're going hk together, but i still didn't get his number (even during the camp >.<)
played night game... i got quite sian after interviewing a few pple to find clues..
my bed was on the upper deck. first time i had to sleep on the upper deck cuz i came late. usually i would snatch the lower deck cuz i feel very heavy, no strength to push myself up n climb trees. =(

had quiet time with my camp grp. a good time near the beach. really felt that i'm a big sister to the kids in my grp!! but i forgot abt my projection duty following that. oopssss.....
played beach games.. got myself dirty, but it's ok, i've grown up.. haha.. i used to be really reserved, prim n proper (uh.. i think) don't like to make a fool of myself. but now, mature a bit, don't need to care so much abt face. =)
got night session duty too. it's really a time of liberation and celebration. =) had a great time losing my voice.

slept longer =) managed to join the prayer session for a minute. >.< had camp grp time at one of the rooms. played Charades, El Shaddai version. =) really feel that my grp leaders did a great job in leading.
played Amazing Race. i have no idea how the game is played man. seems like Treasure Hunt to me. played in the rain. thank God i wore the right slippers man. all my other slippers are slippery one lor. had great fun malu-ing ourselves. =)
finale night was fun too... laughed my head off. did a mass dance. haha.. great job, camp comm! =)

went off to work in the morning. tired, but can tahan la. had roti prata n teh tarik. just nice i had only $1.90, and the meal cost $1.90. praise God!
after work wanted to go home slp, but i saw a cute kitty at the Police Cantonment building!! awww... such a scaredy cat.
22 dec
got my pay n bonus (*smilez*) went to the bank after lunch to bank in the money. called mom to find out where she is, i would probably go find her. cuz my boss told us if we don't have anything already we can go back =) but i got my cell grp Christmas party at Alan's place, which is near my workplace, so i dunno wad to do.
went to bugis to find my mom, shop around a bit. then took bus to Alan's place. he was not in. think he only lent us the place. haha.. malcolm n some of the guys helped out with the food. the girls did the decor. =) then alan n zane came back with Servio, so we played with him. he's so smart! smiling more often and is able to use sign language to say "Please" and "thank you"!
then we played animal game, drinking goggles, and whose line is it anyway. LOL. one of the games i went blur, so i got a forfeit.... to eat a cup of raw veggies... it was really very tough for such a picky girl. so tough until i teared. ermm... there were onions la. i dunno. i closed my eyes n stuffed the veggies inside n chewed for half an hour before i swallowed it. YUCKS. so pai seh..
after that brandon gave some of us a lift back. then i packed my luggage for the trip the next day !!!

woke up to continue packing. went to Punggol plaza to get a fresh towel and contact lenses. found out that my degree went down, but myopia got worse. :S actually i waited quite long for the shop to open. by the time i got back home i had to quickly leave. went to the airport with my mom.
my dad came after work, we had lunch at the Al-dunno wad Mediterranean cuisine. not bad la. i had seafood pizza. went down to the staff canteen for soya beancurd dessert then Andrielle and Roy arrived. we checked in our luggage, had my parents pray for us, then we went down to the canteen again, cuz they haven't eaten.
just nice first day of our trip was also the first day of our period. but think it's going to be okay. boarded the plane... so excited!! =)
was quite late by the time we reached HK. hungry too. so we got mcChicken meal n took the bus to our hostel. it's easy to get around, just ask for directions. in English, Mandarin, Canto also can. =) it took us quite a while to check in, cuz we were shifted to another building. quite weird la. but that's the way budget hostels work i guess. wanted to go out to explore, but it was too late to take a tram. so we just walked around our area - Fortress Hill. 2 MTR stops from Causeway Bay. had supper.
relooked into our itinerary, did our quiet time, n went to sleep at 2am.
24 dec
woke up rather early. took the MTR out to Jordan stop for dim sum breakfast, then attended church service at St Andrew's Church. it was rather traditional looking. there was a church organ too, playing to Hillsongs. LOL. walked down Nathan Rd to look for Esprit outlet, but couldn't find it. so we took the MTR up to Mong Kok. shopped around the Ladies' Market. bought some stuff, not much sia. jialat i keep looking at guys' clothes.. if i got bf i wld buy for him, but since i dun have, i wanna buy for myself. u know, adopt a hip hop look. =P
found a Baleno outlet, so we went in. as you know, they r the same family as Samuel & Kevin and I.P. Zone, so there is more variety. the surprising thing is the place is very small, but we didn't wait very long for the fitting rooms. after a while there were only 3 of us. then we found Esprit outlet, in Mong Kok! (not Tsim Sha Tsui everyone!) regrettably i only bought 3 tops. haha..
very tired already. esp my legs, when i'm having heavy flow. =S wanted to go back to TST. when we were wondering which mode of transport to take, we saw a bus with a sign that says Star Ferry. thank God! boarded that bus. took the Star Ferry back to Central pier. while waiting for a bus to get to the Peak Tram terminus, roy bought a nice ice cream - Mister Softee.. =) got to the Peak Tram lower terminus n got a shock. so many pple think like me.. they want to go up to the Peak for a nice view n countdown to Christmas.. =( good thing is we wanted to go to the Madame Tussauds wax museum as well, so we bought the combo tickets n got priority to queue for the tram. =)
couldn't get seats to Cafe Deco, so we settled for less for dinner. it was quite bad. =( at least service was bad. after dinner we went into Madame Tussauds museum. took LOTSA funny photos with the wax figures. LOL.
decided that we don't have a good spot to celebrate countdown, so we decided to go down to Santa Town. quite a bad idea. was pissed off by a couple while boarding the Peak Tram down. the man used his body to push me n the woman pushed me away from the seat cuz she wanted to reserve the seat for the man. yucks! n poor andrielle didn't manage to get seats for us so we were split up.
tried to find our way to Santa Town. i was awfully tired. just wanted to sit down wherever i can. finally at 10+pm we decided to take the tram back to our hostel. also because i felt like i've stained my pants and it just felt like something was running down my legs. terrible feeling. had a bath n went downstairs for supper. then we realised that we missed the Christmas fireworks at TST. awwww!!!
every night slept at 2am cuz there was much to plan n replan. n i had to look into my finances, make sure i didn't overspend.

quite a relax day, according to itinerary. went to take a tram down Shaukeiwan. thought we could take a loop. there was a minibus-park. took one to CWB. didn't know how to alight so we wanted to observe other passengers and see how they alight. just wanted to find SOGO, Times Square and G.O.D. bought wife's biscuits, quite cheap, but they don't come in individual packaging. =( also tried some exotic stuff like roadside calamari. there was the stinking beancurd but i don't dare to try. haha.
after G.O.D. we took a minibus to stanley. andrielle likes to ask policemen for directions ; ) the one we asked actually pointed us to a shortcut thru a back alley. not bad. Stanley is amazing, doesn't look like Hong Kong. not at all like the city. it's a very.. alfresco place. lovely. had a coffee at Pacific Coffee, for 2 hrs. just slack thru la. after that we took a minibus to Ocean Park (overshot, so we had to walk in) wah i tell u uh, minibuses r expensive as compared to other modes of transport man, don't count the taxi la, which we never took at all. i think we tried ALL modes of transport there already. hehe. at Ocean Park we didn't go in. just wanted to go toilet n take a photo at the entrance, as planned (*grinz*) then we took a bus to Aberdeen Promenade, to take a shuttle ferry to the Jumbo floating restaurant.
actually i didn't plan to go inside Jumbo for dinner.. was just thinking of somewhere near where we have a good view of it. but i think we can afford it la. =P just don't order too much lor. heard that there's a food court there anyway. but in the end we had dinner on the top deck. think it's much cheaper compared to the chinese seafood 10-course dinner downstairs. had pizza n South African wine... i think it's much nicer than the one i had with my cell grp. think Andr enjoyed the dinner. =)
took the shuttle ferry back to Aberdeen n took a bus. wanted to go visit the Central Mid-levels escalators, but seems hard to find the place sia. it turned out to be just a long stretch of escalators. Goes up to SoHo. wanted to chill out at Lan Kwai Fong, but we didn't find the place. was quite tired anyway. so decided to go back. on the way to the tramstop we spotted a HK cafe, so decided to try our luck, see if we can get to eat roasted goose n pigeon there or not. in the end ordered a Po Lo Pau n Yit Lai Cha. took the tram back.

last day!! went downstairs for wanton mee.. ordered a roasted goose leg.. wah so fattening n tastes like duck la. LOL. went back for final packing n check out of our room, deposited my luggage ( i changed with andrielle) at the main building of our hostel. wanted to go toilet but very hard to find one. by the time we found one my face turned green already. sent them off at TST KCR station. they were heading for shenzhen to go china. closed in prayer n we parted. awww.... i walked around TST, Avenue of Stars.. then Jac contacted me. going to meet them in the area. went to Tom Lee music store cuz i wanted to see if i could get any accessories for my bass guitar. bought a guide book n a tuner. i'd probably get the tuner HKD 8 cheaper if i approached the right guy. but.. nvm la.
met up with Jac n Jeff.. explored TST further... never walked into the small lanes before. had lunch at a cafe. i think i didn't eat lunch at all for the past few days, so i couldn't finish this meal. didn't expect to shop, but managed to get some clothes. i should have more interest in clothes, but not that day. it was a bad day for me. my legs were super tired. kept wanting to rest. finally at 4.30pm i decided to go back to the hostel to get my luggage. time was just nice. didn't wait long for the bus to the airport. but after i changed luggage with Andr, it was a little too heavy for me to lift up to the bus. i was very sleepy n tired physically.
got to the airport. supposed to check in 2 hrs earlier, but i was 15 min late. there was a long queue anyway. too sian to walk around, so i went into the gates early. ha on the plane... i was too short to put my hand luggage up the overhead compartment, n there were pple waiting behind me. got quite frustrated by my helplessness. then i realise i forgot to switch off my handphone. n wanted to take out my money to buy airfood. but i was too pai seh to ask for my luggage. somehow i was suddenly filled with loneliness and helplessness i started to cry. my first time taking a plane alone. n i remember that i asked God to keep me alive till i got the chance to go HK. now that i've completed my journey, i was wondering if i was gonna die there n then. felt the seat was very cramped (on Jetstar) n i was thirsty n feeling hard to breathe. i asked whether plain water is chargable. man, it's $2 for a bottled mineral water. next time pls rem to buy water before u board a budget plane!!! really felt like i was gonna die. esp halfway in the air i felt very cold even though i had my new jacket on (if u've seen it u'd think it's thick enough)
Praise God i made it back alive!! bought Chivas for ting.. as promised. =) wanted to get another bottle for myself but i think the limit is one litre of liquor per passenger. saw dong wen outside the DFS. waited for my luggage to come round the conveyor belt, but didn't see it. then i saw something on the floor that looks like Andr's luggage. instantly i was mad. which crazy fella took the luggage out that i almost could have waited till daylight!
went home with my parents. whoa the taxi queue was crazy man.

Apparently there was an earthquake while i was just up in the air. Praise God it didn't affect my flight. not sure how Andr n roy r doing over in china. didn't get a reply from them (till i was at work) they called. dunno y i just felt v happy to receive their call.
played with kitty on the way home. it's very hard to get her to come near me. i managed to touch her a little bit before she ran into a hole.

ok let me start with... 29th nov wed! haha.. faith, ruifen n i planned a surprise for rj cuz his birthday was long over but he was having exams so couldn't celebrate for him till then. i didn't contribute much la, just helped to drag time while faith n rf decorate his room. he was at home so i had to ask him to come all the way to outram to meet me until the girls were ready. i was trying super hard not to am chio the whole time n pretending that faith is going to come so we just need to wait. aiya cut the long story short, he said that he totally had no clue that it was a sham. have to say there were moments i dunno what to say to bluff him.. but i'm glad it pulled off!
1st dec fri - super happening. =P after work i went to find sou mun, who sounded like she got conned to work at a pub. when i got there.. wah seh, the place super high class la. need to make reservation then can get a seat one lor. and the decor... wow. makes me feel like it's not singapore. it's along holland rd, u know, where the expats stay. since she seem to be working in a good place i felt relieved la, n i left. went to holland v to meet my cell grp. i was early, so i decided to take a walk first. then i met elohim. went to IndoChine siem reap with them n shared a Magarita with landy. after that went to Wala's to queue. almost couldn't catch the happy hour offer. cut the long story short again, that night i drank a little too much. got high halfway n didn't know what i was doing already. i rem going to the washroom 3 times n saw a lady inside, semi-conscious, only my third time inside that someone tried to help her. the floor was filled with puke. gross. met ros.. she had a friend who seem depressed, but i think i got over-high la. i rem giving my number to her.. falling down n a few silly things. thanks bran for sending me home. i rem throwing up the moment i reached home. was too seh to do QT. really bad decision to overdrink.
sat - woke up feeling super distracted. what the heck have i done last night? still haven't finished throwing up. supposed to lead worship for cell grp, so i used the morning to prepare. wanted to watch the drama serial my mom helped me record but decided that wasn't impt. felt rather bad cuz i kept trying to recall what silly things i did last night. also felt guilty for not controlling my drinks. went for worship prac n after that had dinner at hongkong street. been wanting to go there but haven't had the chance. so happy. was thinking of watching the drama when i reach home, but decided that can wait la. must sleep early.
sun - woke up late. haiz. must be fri night play till too late n still having the after effects on sun. feel bad lor. after service faith still wanna go out. wanted to go home n slp after lunch at serangoon garden market, but i thought no one accompany her, so i went lor. rj was also there. chey. haha. went to orchard wisma. H2O+ in Isetan. she bought some stuff. i was still not convinced to use such high class products, but got some samples. then i a bit soft-hearted. even tried to influence my colleague that the money really goes into the quality. =P sia lah. then went to lucky plaza cuz she wanted to sell her old phone. we went around asking for quote. the lowest must be $75 if i'm not wrong. she managed to sell her motorola phone for $150. wee~ went to taka n had pretzels. then went home to slp. after i woke up i had dinner with my parents at punggol plaza n sold some cds n gave my printer away at Cash converters. they tested my printer n declared that it doesn't work. pissed. but i just wanted to get rid of it la. was expecting a $20, in the end, $0. only sold 2 cds for $2. cheap thrill. paid the bills. =( last month (nov) my internet usage exceeded though i was seldom at home. so my mom "subsidised" $50 for my internet bills.
mon - went to people's park to shop, but ended up buying toiletries only. there was a pair of jeans that i like, but $35, n comes from HK. might as well go there n buy. but the shopkeeper said i might not find it there, cuz some of their stuff r for export only. i didn't buy in the end.
tue - went to church, not for prayer meeting, but for Psalmist quarterly discipleship training. what i learnt from it? Purpose n Passion. i think i have forgotten abt them after some time of serving, so it was a good reminder la. i have focused on many other things n have forgotten these basic reasons for serving.
wed - wanted to go out, but i kept telling myself, "haven't i been complaining that i didn't get enough rest? go home la!" it's like that la. when i'm tired i wished i have more time. when i'm not tired i make myself tired. such a endless meaningless cycle. n dunno y i feel that i didn't really control my finances this month. :S
thur - met up with andrielle n roy, my hk trip mates. had dim sum with them at outram park. yeah i like to ask pple to come find me, cuz it's a really nice place to explore la. anyway i realise i have been too busy that i didn't check n update the itinerary. 12 more days!!! after dim sum we went to mei shi jie at smith street for satay n ahballing. talk crap with them. i know i will enjoy the fellowship with them in hk. =)
fri - supposed to meet my cell grp at 7pm at Ivin's, but i didn't have enough money, so i walked all the way to pearl centre to withdraw money then walk back to the 174 bus stop. missed a bus n in the end reached at 8 lor.. :S dinner was great. Servio is a happier boy. =P met some children's camp kids.. i shared the same room as her but i forgot her name! Nikki i think. very pretty girl. after that went to Dempsey's. it's so near the beautiful place i newly found. waited till 10pm then there were seats in the Wine Network. finally got it off my chest abt last fri. they all teased me abt ros lor. haha.. but it's ok la.. had fun. =P i realise i dun really like wine. was finding it hard to drink it. but beer was easy leh, like soft drink. so the guys teased me, told me not to taa the wine like beer, need to control. LOL. ok la, i was also conscious that i shldn't get myself so high again. really enjoy the fellowship with my cell grp. =) after wine we went for supper at river valley road. we saw the traffic police in action n alan quickly went to park his car properly. had roti prata, teh n bbq stingray. yummy~ hang out till 2am i think.
sat - played a new game at cell grp. we didn't expect the game to drag so long so we only played one round. really fun man. it's like guessing the number, but instead of number, it's a specific thing. my grp managed to guess Armageddon after 8 yes/no questions from the category non-animated movie. n the other grp didn't manage to guess our Rowen Atkinson/Mr Bean from the category actor! =P it was fun. after cell went for worship prac. this time it took quite long because it's a Youth band!! haha (like it hadn't been a youth band) but it was the E-band! Elohim-El Shaddai-Epainos band. =P finished prac close to 10pm. woah. had dinner/supper at indian temple coffeeshop.
sun - haha service was funny la. couple of jokes. had prac for youth camp after service.. wanted to ask my parents to go out n eat chili crab, but my dad said we shldn't spend so much already. dunno y man, dec i really spend n spend without control sia.
in closing, yay. 13 more days!
