:: Children's Camp 2006 ::

lemme start with sun, 19th nov, my sis came back for a short break. i was asleep when she reached home. next morning i had to wake up early for church so i missed her too. we shifted location for service, so i was quite worried she could not find her way. i forgot to bring my hps also. haiyo. after service rushed off for a quick lunch with my family n rushed back to DCB for children's camp meeting. my mom was quite pissed with me for that.

there were foreign speakers (dunno y i didn't c them at the camp at all) and Auntie Daphne shared abt passing the gospel down the generation. she mentioned that word so many times i couldn't count. after that had a quick briefing of what was to take place when the camp starts. then i went home.

chihiro came to my hse to send her resume n to chat on msn n go on friendster. haiz. thought she would zi dong when i'm abt to sleep, but nv leh. i wonder if she earns her income by.... (shhh...)

tue
after work went to changi airport to send my sis off. i reach first, then waited for my mom, then waited for my dad n sis to come from home. i knew they were going to be late. (zai zai la) had dinner at the Soup Restaurant.

it was a rushed dinner. didn't digest the food and we have to run for the shuttle bus to get to the budget terminal.

Children's camp! brought a big bag to work. after work went to HBF to take bus to sentosa. =) applied for Islander card. wanted to renew, but i didn't realise that their idea of renewal is continue from when my card expired. so rugi! so it's a new application. $19.50 leh. haiz. have to go in 7 times to make the card worth. =P

was quite blur on the first day, panic cuz i lost my way n it was dark n there was construction going around the campsite. dangerous leh. any worker can jump out on me n drag me into the contruction site n *eeeek!!* =S went up to my room to put down my stuff, then had my da-bao-ed dinner. went up for session. i didn't get to know my group yet. wah i didn't expect to learn something new. Nicodemus was mentioned 3 times in John n the speaker drew a link to his progress. the message is: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Supper time. my group dispersed. =( they washed up n went to bed. camp parents got debriefing. slept around 12am. didn't really sleep well, i rem waking up at 3+am cuz i heard sounds. the kids sleeptalk man.

woke up around 7am.. went to work at 7.30am.. still very early. good. =) went to harbourfront to eat roti prata n teh tarik =P took my time to go to office.

after work same thing, went to sentosa. but this time a bit faster cuz i didn't have to apply for the sentosa card. the kids r very friendly.. they would come n talk to me when they see me eating alone. so nice of them!

had night walk after praise n worship n dance prac. wah i was wearing killer heels man. killed my feet. but i had to bear with it lor, i nv bring other shoes.

yay dun need to go to work. joined the kids in morning PT. i met a few girls who remind me of myself when i were their age. =X

oh forgot to mention, my group is Transformers! it was the first thing that came to my mind when uncle John asked the camp parents to come up with a name for our groups. my group name had to start with T.

we had Quiet Time together. went through a chapter from the book of Esther. so cute, there was a question in the activity book that ask for Queen Esther's age. we couldn't find the answer.

then we had afternoon session (Naaman who had leprosy) n lunch. took a short nap during rest time. made kites for art & crafts but the weather didn't permit us to go fly kite.

then we gathered in groups to discuss the skit for the night. i went off around 5.30pm to go church to help set up for PRC n for MCG meeting for plans for Tanjung Balai 2007. wah i think i went back at the right time. after setting up the booth for PRC we went in for prayer n prep, Dallas shared abt remembering our calling, even though we dun seem to be doing anything related to our calling right now, but don't be discouraged. felt like the message is for me.

went to DCB to meet hannah n persis. outside the DCB there was a cat who affectionately rubbed against me.. i felt so happy.. until persis told me that the cat is just due for the mating season. if not for the season she wouldn't be so affectionate to me. =(

went to mac to meet Gail n to start our discussion. manage to come up with a plan. tired. sigh. went back to camp. i was just in time to catch the performances! my grp did well! Calvin was very funny when acting God the judge. "i'm sorry.... no wait why should i be sorry?" "a few years ago u sang in the church choir.. i can't remember when.. no wait, of cuz i can remember." hahahaha. then another grp acted well too! esp Joshua.. he's wonderful, man! in the end his grp won, but my grp came in 2nd! =)

Been reading a book i bought from Doulos. it's very good. =) stayed up to write finale notes to my kids n chat with baoying n kelvin n nic. i guess "last nights" of camps help to build friendships. =) slept at 4am. woke up at 7+am. late for breakfast. =X packed up n took grp photos n went back to church for service. performed the dance at the end of the service. i thought we would perform early then i can sneak back to youth service for a while. then there was reception after service. =) n prize presentation. TRANSFORMERS WON!!!!!!!~!!!! seriously i nv had the experience of my group winning. i was overjoyed. =D took a last grp photo, without me inside, but it's ok. i'm the photographer. =)
