hmm.. my msn nick was "vomits blood". seriously, at work, sometimes stress gets to me that i feel suffocated, hard to breathe. i tend to need to take in big gasps of air in those moments. and that stress period was supposed to be over on 21st aug 2006. dragged till friday still haven't complete. not my fault lor. i totally can't visualise what client wants. "design cannot be too boxy." i did a 7th version of the design already la! friday was better at work because thursday was so bad i kept praying for help.
n now my msn nick is "where is the cat?" because everyday on my way to work i always pass by this patch of land and there is a resident cat. it will always be there, just a matter of which part of there. so kinda like Where's Wally, i try to look for the cat everyday. kind of a game to me ba.
hmm okok back to my all-out weekend. after work on fri i took train to city hall.. walked to bras basah since esther n elena hadn't reached yet. went to check out the bass amps at sweelee. the guy recommended a $210 Peavey bass amp. tested it n honestly i'm not knowledgeable to hear the quality. checked out the tuner too. $29.90 seiko brand. but i didn't buy. only bought a cable. yeah finally i can use it to plug into my hi-fi temporarily, before i get a proper amp. i learnt that the converter is to plug into the hi-fi Out hole and plug my earphones. Not directly into my bass. LOL. it was amazing that i could test the stuff n make purchase within 10 min.
walked back to the raffles city shopping centre to meet them since they've reached already. after thinking so long where to eat, we decided to eat at a jap restaurant. the food is affordable and GOOD! they give real scallops man! haha got shocked by esther's "fickle-mindedness". now i know~
went to MIX for dessert and meeting. the atms at the basement were unable to dispense cash. amazing. good thing there's a DBS bank at level 1. guorong arrived. bought a Matcha Wow. not bad.. but i think it was the guava that made it sour. soya whipped cream! woah~ had our PRC meeting. it was a good time of sharing.
after that took bus to jeremy's place. saw an accident at telok blangah. an NTUC truck smashed into a pillar. there were many police vehicles, ambulances, firetruck. n many kaypos watching. LOL.
when i reached his place they were making pancakes and talking about the game they were playing earlier. Cranium. it was a 84 vs 86 game. haha. fellowshipped n then started a new round of Cranium. quite an intellectual game. i didn't do much except roll the die. but the game was fun. haha.
after that was ahpek session. over absolut peach. goes nice with 7-up. n some lemon thing brandon recommended. took a shot of that. n then jeffrey arrived with hoegarden n stella artois. do they go together or what? i like hoegarden.
we had a good, Godly discussion about relationships, marriage, wedding, money, cost of living in Singapore... talked till 6am. by then i really couldn't open my eyes anymore. then we went up to jeremy's room to slp. diana n i squeezed on the bed. lol.
i woke up at 9.10am. feeling FoS. couldn't go back to slp. saw weiyang also feeling terrible. he thinks he got food poisoning cuz he just got it one month ago. must be the buffet he had. i didn't tell my parents that i was not going home last night. =x so this morning called to notify my mom.
watched National Geographic. wow. i love documentaries. (more n more like my ah lian liao) watched this Hunter Hunted. a man killed by a dingo on Fraser Island. one shouldn't run when he sees a wild dog-like animal. the predator will sense the fear of a prey and will give chase. the scientists were trying to understand whether or not he was killed by the dingo using forensic deductions. after that there's this show The Living Edens. Featuring Canyonlands and the animals in it. The way they survive. i dun like scavenging birds. i dun like to watch them swoop over poor little animals and feeding on them. so i switched off the tv n nodded off to slp.
jeffrey went home n came back with his car n woke me up with his entrance to the house. had a little headache. waited for diana then we went off to Seah Im. had breakfast. kelvin left his hp at jeremy's place. but we managed to meet there. he took very fast to reach sia. n then after a short debate to go sentosa or not, we decided to go ahead. i was still wondering if i should renew my Islander membership. trying to consider if i will get to use it often enough to make it worth.
drove into siloso beach carpark. ben joined us there. walked a long way to the beach. lotsa pple sia. found a spot to nua. napped whenever i could. started playing frisbee. then borrowed a volleyball from a neighbouring group. jeff n diana know some pple from there. wow. the whole day they keep meeting pple they know la. lol. haha did some stunts with the volleyball. like the power punch, the header, n uh.. that's it. fun. went down into the water to get cooled for a while. n then continued to play volleyball. saw some disgusting men in their underwear. they think they can pass it off as swimming trunks. *pukes* if they were only 8 yrs old, it's still okay. i remember doing that when i was young.
jeffrey improvised the game with forfeits. we tried as much to pass the ball without dropping it as many times as we could. if we failed at 30, then the person who passed the bad ball had to do 30 squats. our goal was 50. just when he decided to give up trying for 50, we did it!! haa.. went back to our mat to nua. decided to leave at 4pm. time passed very slowly at 3.45-3.50pm. haha
went to kelvin's hse to wash up n then eat a bit at the coffeeshop. took jeff's car to potong pasir to take train home. really dead by then. took a nap, woke up, my mom cooked dinner for me. (WOW!) instant noodles la. not very well-cooked but good effort!
