rushed to Michael's bday party after worship prac.. took cab down to his place.. they were having bbq downstairs. not bad, managed to catch up with my juniors.

Had lunch with the Psalmist Resource Corner core, to evaluate how things were run this year and how we can improve for next year. Then i went for MCG Bible study back in church. very sleepy by then. there was baptism after that but it was pouring heavily.. went home to sleep. =)

made use of my Golden Village membership and watched movie at Vivocity with my mom. Brothers, by Andy Lau, Felix Wong, Eason Chen (sometimes I watch movie for the guys *winks*) Not bad.. had late dinner at Asian Kitchen after that.

Had lunch with uncle Colin, who brought me some forms to sign. we had interesting Chinese Wuhan cuisine. a bit too much food for 2 of us. during lunch my colleague kept calling me cuz my client had something urgent to look for me. ARGH.

Sis came back... i walked over to M Hotel to find my dad and got a lift from him to the airport to have dinner with the family. Ate chinese food at the Soup Restaurant, something for Sup to try. then Sup took the motorbike home with my dad while we ladies took cab. haha..

actually sis came back for her friend's wedding, who invited our whole family also. but i had to prepare word for cell so i couldn't go. i also missed my cousin's baby's full-month celebration (oh so directly translated!).
Shared word on Missions, something which i had in mind to share for some time already.
worship prac for combined service. started at 7, so i had time for dinner with Jem and Tricia.

Supposed to go for prayer meeting... but i had a lot of work to do... by the time i was done it was about 7.40pm already. so felt very sian. went home and asked my dad to bring me out for dinner. went to Changi Village for Nasi Lemak. =)

went to Sentosa with my sis.. fun la, finally get to do things i haven't been able to.. like taking a cable car into Sentosa (the last time i took cable car was just from Mount Faber to Harbourfront), playing on the Luge, and chilling out at Cafe Del Mar. we had breakfast at Seah Im food centre. we were still discussing whether to take cable car or not. cable car was ex for tourist man! so silly. at first i wasn't sure if i shld ask my sis to admit that she's local cuz i thought tourist might have a better price. turns out locals get cheaper rates. >.< sorry la, my concept of tourism is to make tourists feel more privileged than locals, i guess i'm wrong about that. So Sup had to pay like double our price, but his first time trying such stuff la.
We went for the Luge immediately. i was so hum ji i only wanted one round. my sis paid for 3 rounds at a go! i'm a very careful driver. hahaha... went super slow. realise i got a fear of collision.
took bus to Siloso Beach and chilled out at Cafe Del Mar. Ordered bacardi breeze.. nice.. and calamari..
saw an open-top red-line bus and wanted to take it, but we had to wait - it comes once in 4 buses. so we took one whole round. i was amused to see the number of indians queueing at the bus stop at Palawan Beach. it was really PACKED man!
after sentosa we took the cable car out - we paid for two-way trips. we made a detour at Mount Faber, since it was at no extra cost. Nothing much la. anyone noticed the flash on Mount Faber's website? nice or not? i wonder who did it.. hmmm...
took bus 100 to Geylang. haa, not to let Sup see our red-light district la, but to go to our aunt's place for dinner. had lots of soup. yummy~ Joshua was so curious about Sup that he kept asking him questions. i realise he still kept asking me the same questions he asked before. =x
took bus 62 back together with them. and just before we alighted, Joshua shouted to Sup "sa wa dee krup!!" haha so pai seh..
we passed by the fitness corner for Senior Citizens and played with some of the ..stuff. Sup did a stunt on my sis. hahahaha i shan't say what it is. could only say that i'm very very amused.

YAY public holiday! went to Shirley's place with my sis and Sup. i was surprised to see Melissa.. cuz actually the first thing i saw when we reached her place were the dogs. then Mel called me.. wooo, she's back from US! And Shirley cooked laksa for us!! it wasn't very spicy and i was able to eat it without bean sprouts hehe.. (i realise Shirley and I have quite similar preferences and dislikes to certain food) and we had cupcakes after that. and we played Wii! haha..
after that i had to go to work because I had taken leave the day before, and when i checked my work email at home i realise i have a lot of work to do =( i enjoy going to work without my colleagues around.. HAHA!
did a bit of the more urgent stuff in an hour and went to find my dad. if i'm not wrong we went to Kovan for dinner. i went to queue for the famous fishball noodle stall. so stupid, by the time i finish queueing my dad had finished his food too. i dun like to queue!

Went to send my sis and Sup off at the Budget Terminal, with my mom... Had lunch at Hans. saw some old friends... i don't have much impression, but my sis remembers Aunty May from Sonshine Childcare Centre at Bukit Batok. She was going to Phuket too, with her family. cool. took the shuttle bus to T2. argh i didn't know it only goes to T2, my mom and i ended up taking 2 rounds. I changed bus to Tampines and took another bus to church for cell grp.

Went to watch The Game Plan with my parents. at first i only asked my dad, since i watched a movie with my mom recently already. and this is a very father-daughter movie. oh well. haha. very funny and touching.. kept tearing.. haha =x but my dad says he doesn't catch the humour leh. haiz. some movies u just need to watch with a relaxed mind la. i really needed to relax from stress at work.

been OT-ing quite a lot these days. feel very down. especially with certain clients whom i just described in my last entry. they chose us cuz we probably quoted the lowest price among other vendors. they expect high standard? pay more la! feel like spewing vulgarities here already. heh. they're really not giving me a chance leh, just complained to my boss straight away and requested a change of designer (in my company). well u know what? i'm the only designer. what pissed me off more is that my boss asked me to do a nicer design and let my programmer colleague liase with them. it may be for the good of the company, but i'm really occupied with other stuff that's coming in and I feel taken for granted. know what i mean?
went to SMU cuz Malcolm invited the cell grp to check out his cafe. Brandon is back, but i was kinda disappointed that only a handful of pple turned up. oh well. very tired after all the nonsense at work but i dun think i felt better there. in fact the concert in SMU was like a party in HELL. pple were drinking and feeling high and raising their hands as if in worship. i'll say no more.

Had dinner with a client and an ex-colleague. good friends la. haha.. poured out our work woes to each other. over Fish & Co at Wheelock. my goodness, i took a bus from near my workplace... last min change venue from Forum to Wheelock, i thought my bus was just outside already, so i alighted. then i realise i was only at Cineleisure!! so long never go town already la! haha.. saw the Christmas decos. hmm... okay only lor. doesn't make me feel like Christmas mood. HONG KONG!!!!!
was having headache, but i dun care one la.. to meet friends i would go despite having headache. my social life is dying leh... ask me out leh. hahaha.. i am so okay with anything that it's hard for me to ask pple out. i rather have other pple decide the agenda then tell me, and i'll be there.

Diana's bday celebration at Frujch! i was OT-ing as usual. at first when i got there i thought i was the first from cell.. then when i entered i realise most of them were there already.
Amos, Kelvin and Terry & Grace presented songs for Diana, so touching... seems like despite all the teasings they really care about her. haha..
cried on the way home. i feel depressed.

Mom's bday. had breakfast with her and then went to Crest to pick stuff for Psalmist Resource Corner with Vincent. very disappointed with the variety of stuff this time. cuz i saw many items at a Christian bookshop near my workplace i'd want to pick at Crest. after that i stressed over buying present for my mom. hahaha.
took train down to Potong Pasir then went home. watched tv, went for a jog and showered, then went back to church for PRC setup. cell was cancelled due to Francis & Jocelyn's wedding.
stayed for prayer and then went to Sengkang for dinner at Pizza Hut. wanted to eatr the Cheese Fondue, but the promo is over and forever gone!!! *sob* i love cheese....
ordered the Sambal Delight meal instead. so spicy my stomach turned.
shopped for some clothes after that. i really must restrain myself till Hong Kong!!!
then we went back home for cake. i bought ice cream cake for my mom!! haha.. i can't afford the whole 1kg cake so i bought 3 slices only. =x

thank God for the message Chi Shyan preached, about dealing with problems. i really shld stop wallowing in self-pity and look out for opportunities for Witness. but it's very hard... i complained to everyone about my work stress but it doesn't help apparently. i want to be a farmer next time.
had youth camp leaders briefing. Eleora was giving a briefing on attitudes expected from a leader. i gotta be more sensitive to myself. i admit that i'm the kind who will "peace, peace" but after that hate myself for agreeing to things i may not be comfortable with. that's one area i really need to seek a change in myself.
after that went to look for M'kk with Elena and Esther. we went to Crest to return stuff and had lunch at KFC. Burger King is gone! =x
i prayed for some stuff a few years ago, and now something is happening, but i dun seem willing to accept that it's happening because i prayed for it.
and i've been arrowed to do a website for COR Youth. hmmm can i quit my job? i dun think i can handle... ahhhh....

:: weddings ::
i wrote my first cheque on sat!! haha.. shiok. siao de.
Just attended my cousin's wedding on Sat. The minister kept trying to joke. HAIZ. And my uncle didn't switch his hp to silent mode... urgh. Halfway through there was a child crying. Sometimes you gotta be a bit more careful who you invite to your wedding uh? hmmm... After the "english" ceremony the relatives went into a side room for "Chinese" ceremony. The couple served tea to all the elders, and after that, we the young ones have to serve the couple tea. haha.. cool. The buffet lunch was interesting, mediterranean cuisine i think? Went to cell grp after that.
Last entry I mentioned i walked to Tj Pagar to find my dad after work one day, and I want to add on something: I passed by several bridal shops and.... found my dream wedding gown!!! woo! Haha.. yesterday evening I went to look for it, hopefully can take a photo of it to post on my blog, but the person told me that I can't do that. And you know, when I walked past just looking longingly at the gowns (they were replaced, so fast!) the guy at the door asked me to go in to take a look. haha.. I dun think I look like I'm ready to get married right? Anyway the salespeople were very welcoming and kept asking me to try it on.
I asked for my dream gown - i only vaguely remember how it looks like. It didn't matter how the design was, what caught my eye was the dark red stripe across the tube. Hmm... sorry I can't describe well. I was disappointed when they told me wedding gowns phase out very fast, after a few weeks/months I won't be able to find that gown anymore. Awww.......
Don't know why but lately there's been quite a number of weddings and Persis was just sharing about her wedding during our Tj Balai trip. Makes me think about getting married, but no bridegroom, how?
My dream is to get married at the age of **, but looking at modern society where can you find a partner who's ready to?
Besides that.. yesterday was quite eventful ba. Met a client in the morning. Their demands are so challenging! Serious... I really don't know how to do a design for them sia.
Then during work, about an hour before knockoff i was busy, but I received a prank call. hahaha read on! (from the number i thought it was nic) This guy ordered 2 pc chicken meal, upsized and told me to deliver it to Jurong Point. (i suspected someone already) He asked what's my name, I said Ahmad, then he laughed. From his laughter my suspicions increased but i didn't dare confirm. haha.. Told him the order would be delivered at 6.30pm. But i ignored the call all the way till I went to check out the wedding gown then I received an sms from NORMAN KANG!!! ROAR!!! hhahhahhahha
And after checking out the gown I walked down Tj Pagar to Chewy Junior (i love the "donuts" there - well they aren't exactly donuts, dunno what they are.) and I met Terry (Akouo)! Hahaa.. At that kind of hour my eyesight is usually very poor, but not bad I can still recognise pple.
I wanna watch the movie Brothers... and The Detective if possible.

Besides that.. yesterday was quite eventful ba. Met a client in the morning. Their demands are so challenging! Serious... I really don't know how to do a design for them sia.
Then during work, about an hour before knockoff i was busy, but I received a prank call. hahaha read on! (from the number i thought it was nic) This guy ordered 2 pc chicken meal, upsized and told me to deliver it to Jurong Point. (i suspected someone already) He asked what's my name, I said Ahmad, then he laughed. From his laughter my suspicions increased but i didn't dare confirm. haha.. Told him the order would be delivered at 6.30pm. But i ignored the call all the way till I went to check out the wedding gown then I received an sms from NORMAN KANG!!! ROAR!!! hhahhahhahha
And after checking out the gown I walked down Tj Pagar to Chewy Junior (i love the "donuts" there - well they aren't exactly donuts, dunno what they are.) and I met Terry (Akouo)! Hahaa.. At that kind of hour my eyesight is usually very poor, but not bad I can still recognise pple.
I wanna watch the movie Brothers... and The Detective if possible.

yeah so i've been complaining. but today i'm feeling better. something cheered me up lots lots. =)
ok la let me praise my funny Canadian cousin: he's VERY good at languages.. he's not learned in Mandarin, but he can understand a bit and can reply some of our questions too. though most of the time his head will automatically turn to his mom, aka his walking dictionary. haha. he's very interested to learn Japanese and Korean, and my other cousin, Katherine, was teaching him bits of Korean over lunch on Monday. he tried to practise after Katherine left, but no one else knows Korean to practise with him. haha..

and i have an excuse to buy bubble tea cuz i forgot to bring my water bottle today =P

mon - 8/10
met Chihiro on the train. had dinner with her at the coffeeshop near her place. met her bf for the first time.
tue - 9/10
had a bad day. because of lousy food for lunch and dinner? haha.
i miss the smell of Vivocity though. haa. supposed to get my GV membership card, but i forgot to print out the notification email.
went to Vivocity Marche's for dinner, but it sucks and is expensive. tried to make up for the bad dinner by having ice cream at Ben & Jerry's, but the cost didn't help. $8 for 2 scoops of ice cream. haiz. guess my mom n i just dun appreciate food like that.
fri - 10/10
bad day too. mom took mc so she met me for lunch at People's Park before going home.
i wanted to hang out after work one.. but well. think everyone else is busy with something else. and i want to rest early too.
end up going to the airport with my dad at 10pm. had late dinner at BK. and met up with my aunt and cousins.. going to meet my youngest aunt who's coming back from Canada for a few weeks. waited long, but after a brief meeting we all headed home. it was 12am already.

groomed myself for the wedding.. haha... quite excited. got a seat at the side with Jac. Paul is as always, making the ceremony a FUN event rather than solemn. haa.
after tt my cell grp headed to Marina Sq to chill. had Country Pie at Coffee club. nice. then we went to Ben's hse to play Settlers of Cartan till late. -.-"

had lunch with cell grp at Crawford lane. it's a funny road where the lanes are swopped. after tt took bus with malcolm back to Potong Pasir where i took train home.
took a short nap which wasn't enough!! but thank God i manage to wake up in time enough despite having snoozed my alarm clock.
left home fantasizing some guy picking me up from my hse downstairs for the wedding dinner, but it never happened. took train to Tj Pagar to meet Jac.
ohh i am so upset over the seating arrangement. Can't see the screen whenever there's a video, can't get to see other pple from Youth. wasn't early enough to mingle with them too. service was bad too. seems like the waitress serving our table was quite impolite and unhappy with our requests.

took the afternoon off to spend time with my aunt and her family. had lunch with them at Suntec convention centre.. had teochew porridge buffet. i had expected it to be just lunch, then i ended up joining them to window shop in Suntec, Millenia Walk, Marina Sq, Esplanade. woah. so tired by then. wanted to go home to sleep but a bit bad to leave first since they're staying at another relative's place at Punggol too. my cousin Joshua kept talking to me.. sometimes he talks weird stuff. haha.. he asked about my ex-bf and why would any guy not want me? lol. he also says i'm cute and that he'll miss me when he goes back to Canada. and when am i going to visit him in Canada, can he stay with me, can i stay with him... haa.. -.-"
we went to my other aunt's place in Aljunied and i called my dad to come rescue me. haa.. i really wanted to go home. but i was stuck there till 8+pm. joshua talked to me about smoking while his dad was smoking. cuz he was curious about the smoking warnings on the cigarette pack, and asked me is it true pple get lung cancer and mouth diseases and die when they smoke? i said yes, but his dad said no, because he's still alive. i dunno wad to say already. haa.. most of the time i just diam lor. my dad came but couldn't bring me home cuz he only had 1 helmet. *sobz*

yay finally I'M FREE!!!~~~
cleared my list of work to do already. hehe.
lemme update... 7-9th Sep was Psalmist Retreat.. Highlight of this retreat was... Wii!! haha.. and some of them took turns to be Chefs! me ah, just retreat lor.. thank God that whenever weekends come i switch off my work mode, so i actually don't think of work at all. Rested well, all thanks to everyone who worked hard to put this retreat together!
can't really remember what else was the highlight of Sep except that it was the busiest time of my LIFE. really. i mentioned tt i had 9 projects altogether right, now that it's over I can name them. haa.. some of these are still pending approval though.

i've been complaining about my workload to my cell grp hehe.. and ya during this stress period i have become pissed with my colleagues easily. (they still piss me every now and then. haha) but wanna praise God for bringing me through. I thought i was going to die in Balai, maybe in my sleep, can't breathe or something.
met up with Swee Yi on 26th sep wed.. wanted to meet her for dinner, but she ask me if i wanna join her colleagues for a netball game. i agreed la, since i wanted to see her. wah end up i didn't get to talk to her much la. we were in the same team, i was GK while she was GS, positions are poles apart. ... after the game i wanted to have dinner with her (it was promised!!!) and we went to the changing room. while i was showering she was talking on the phone and seemed to have made plans to leave right away. and when i came out she was gone already. i chased after her and asked her what she intends to do with me. she just DUMPED me with her colleagues while she ran after her friend's car to go home! can u imagine how ditched i feel? dunno y our relationship strained so much.
then the next day thur i went out with weiting, to celebrate her bday. we met at Vivocity and watched I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry. such a long title! haha.. it's the right movie to watch with her la.. haha all the dirty jokes. =x i laughed all the way man. after movie we had dinner at The Mussel Guys. haha.. sounds like its speciality is mussels. so we ordered Mussels chowder and a basket of fried stuff. behind our table there sat a guy who looks so much like CWS!!! our sec 1 crush! haha... we kept laughing at him cuz he was talking on the phone all the way la. he was still talking even while paying the bill! zai. wanted to hang out longer cuz it's been such a long time since i met up with friends, but at the same time i was tired la. working makes the body grow old faster.
fri 2 of my favourite clients came to visit. haha.. lots of work sia. work OT till 9.30pm.
as for the weekend you can read it at my other blog, cuz it's about my trip to Tj Balai. =)
last monday was hell man. haha.. many projects due this day but i couldn't finish them. dragged till tues. OT, but there always comes a point my brain can't work anymore.
tue completed some of the projects, finally. the rest... thank God for granting me favour so that i could spread them out over the week.
went to collect passport during lunchtime, my dad drove me to ICA cuz he wasn't working. hee, praise God! supposed to collect it by last wed, but i didn't find the notification card till last week. (it looks just like a property pamphlet la) had lunch at Golden Mile Food Centre.
wed onwards a bit more relaxed and back to normal LIFE. haha.
thur met up with Judy and Weng Heng, cuz Judy flying off to Japan, at first thought it was the 1st week of Oct, but seems like it's postponed. good also la, can hang out with her more often before she's gone for 2 years. met them at Vivocity and had dinner at Thai Accent. Wah, good thing StanChart debit card members got 15% discount!!! total discount was about $13! shiok.. shopped with her at Sheer Romance (bikini shop) and we bought a pair of shorts each. she bought bikini also. then she and carl went to watch movie. it was a good time of catching up with her and WH la.
Judy asked me to go party tomorrow (fri). so on fri i went to work all dressed up to party. haha.. then Judy came down with a body allergy, probably due to the green curry we had for dinner. i think there's something wrong with my body nowadays.. a bit cannot take spicy food. so anyway the party's cancelled. awww... prior to the party date i had wanted to go Old Airport Rd for supper, prob with cell grp, so i asked around, but everyone's busy. after that my dad called, so i had dinner with him at Golden Mile Food Centre. the fried kuay tiao with alot of newspaper clippings on the stall is LOUSY. don't try it. after that we walked around the Army Market upstairs. i wonder how i can ever enjoy shopping with him in Hong Kong. he walks so fast and doesn't wait for me to look at stuff. =( then we went to Golden Mile Complex to shop for Thai stuff. dunno y i felt so happy seeing Thais there. haha..
sat back at cell grp. hmmm i felt weird to be back. i miss m'kk ... haha.. oh no.
kept asking my cell grp to try the Hong Kong Street Chan Kee stall at potong pasir but my pleas are always ignored. jeremy had to help me persuade the rest to agree. haiz. wanted to try the T3 cafe too, but some of them were tired and decided to go home. so i went home too. thing is, i'm not with my cell grp often due to worship pracs or MCG meetings.. so whenever they try new places i don't get to. and when i suggest those places they feel sian.
sun met Gail for breakfast at Soya shop.. discussed the balai thing again, and how to bring it up to MCG. combined service. Vicar jokes too often i find it hard to take him seriously. MCG bible study at Elisa's place. we had lunch at Chop. haa.. 7 of us squeezed in one small table. then 8 of us squeezed inside Elisa's big big car meant for 5. haha.. someone shld have taken a photo for us man. then discussion with Hannah and Gail at Ritz Apple Strudel place. sleepy.
took bus back with Gail. bought 2 dresses for wedding next week. =) had dinner with her at Mac's (i was so broke i could only buy food with my ezlink card hahaa). talked about guys and came to a conclusion: don't think so much, God will provide. =) my standard is very high. haa.. but i hope that SOMEONE dun anyhow lead me on if he has no interest in me.
then today nothing much la, time passed very fast cuz i did a lot of work (small small updates here and there la - my favourite type of work) something cropped up over the weekend because my colleague assumed something and made changes to a website. the client called to alert us and i scolded my colleague. wanted to add "i don't need to tell u everything right?" cuz the client told her to add something at first and told me to remove it later, when she checked the website she saw the thing was missing so she added back in and caused a big problem over my client's side. it's a problem due to lack of communication between us la. i'm angry because she used the reproach kind of tone towards me, "how come u never tell me?", ... haiz but really la, i don't have to inform her everything right?
think i need to pray against pride.

yay caught the movie Ratatouille finally!~ at amk hub. first time there, dun even know where's the cinema keke. common sense tells me it's at the top level. =P i was late for work that day. super suay. the day before i was very angry with my colleagues ma. whole night angry. probably tt's y i couldn't wake up. but that means i had to stay back at work to make up for the time i was late. suay because this just so happens when my boss is in. the past few days he wasn't in i was early okay! and i was angry for the times i was early and my colleagues were late yet they leave at 6pm on the dot. i know it's not right for me to get pissed over this, esp when i'm not guiltless regarding this, but...
oh ya y i brought up the part abt me being late was, i stayed back in office till late lor. i knew i won't be able to make it for the 6.50pm show, and i sorta gave up the idea of watching movie yday, but last minute i felt gian again. watched part of the making of the movie, and i feel that the music and sound effects are the reason this movie must be watched in cinemas and not at home. and if i miss watching it before thurs.. the ticket is gonna cost more (hehez) and next monday there might not be anymore screening. it's running out!! managed to catch it at the very last minute. show was at 7.50pm, i only reached AMK like, 7.45pm! haha!
ya anyway movie is good. it's funny. i love the music. but somehow the story... every scene makes me expect something... ...something better than i get. hmm. dunno if u know what i mean.
i DON'T recommend watching movies at AMK hub. dunno if it's only theatre 3... the seats are damn narrow! there wasn't space for my arms. i had to share arm-rest space with the people beside me somemore.
by the way.. ATB is in Singapore! going to perform in MOS tmr night! but... cover charge for ladies is $25.. though i may be commanding an income, money shouldn't be spent this way. haiz. i think i will just listen to his cds at home ba.

i feel so dizzy at work.. so much to do..!!!

my colleague still expects me to do another project that is due end of the month. c'mon, i've got deadlines for end of the WEEK! idiot, know. keep telling her i'll do it later but she keeps rushing me as if i'm lazy. who's the lazy one man. *angry*
i wanna watch Ratatouille.. but i think it's going to run out soon. maybe tmr at Tiong Bahru? argh.. how come Vivocity dun have anymore... =(
tonight i just wanna go home straight and sleep.
update abt Psalmist Retreat later. erm, maybe end of the week.

haha forgot to mention 2nd sept sunday i went to play CS with my cell grp.
MY FIRST TIME!! haha
at first very reluctant to go one. we were having lunch at Golden Mile food centre and it's at Beach Rd... they actually wanted to go all the way to Bukit Timah to play CS! that's like cambodia from here. if they were going Parklane or what still okay la. grrr *complain.. complain.. complain*
okay la, had fun haha.. i die very fast. macam my mission is just to get rid of opposite team so that my team members - the more pro ones - can complete their mission of rescuing hostages etc. haha
after playing i had a very bad headache. lan games are harmful to the eyes.

:: sept week 1 ::
yeah i was saying i feel my boss is piling work on me. I have ...currently, 9 projects on hand. including 5 major website revamps and creations. can u beat that? i am so prepared to do OT this week.
4th tue - went to Mount Faber to meet a client. wooo shiok.. nice place to work in actually. just errr.. a bit hard to get there. i feel like switching to the tourism industry... the meeting was a bit long, but i met a fellow 21-yr-old poly grad working there. =) honestly i'm not very confident of my ability to do the work i promised. but i must do my best to prove myself. i wanna be a good designer!!! *sobz..* there goes my freedom...
client offered me a cable car ride to Harbourfront. ooohhh shiok! shld have brought my camera. later i try upload another pic thru my phone.
bought donuts from Vivocity - it was lunch time okay? went to Standard Chartered to query abt my debit card, found out it wasn't sent out... then took train back to office. bought bubble tea along the way. i feel deprived of: 1) bubble tea, 2) avocado juice at my new workplace lor. =(
after work i went to church for prayer meeting. so long nv go for prayer meeting, i was actually wondering to go or not. During prayer meeting, ...beating around the Bush has just got another meaning for Americans. haha.. prayed for many groups of pple and got updates of other congregations and extensions of COR.
then went for supper with some m'kk pple. i felt hungry halfway during prayer meeting actually, but couldn't find a good time to go out and eat my green tea muffin. more like green bean muffin la. yucks. can't drink tea at night, so i ordered hot milo instead.
5th wed - OT everyday this week, and next week. plan already. dun ask me out.
had fish slice bee hoon at my office downstairs. paid FREAKING $5 for it! i will never eat that again.
6th thur - meeting with 2 clients. stress level went up.
received reply from the police regarding the "scam" i got myself into last week. turns out it was a scam after all. check out www.cad.gov.sg for similar scams like that.
received my debit card finally! instruction given was to sign on the back of the card immediately, but.. erm.. sign where?
reminded myself to pack bag for Psalmist retreat.
7th fri - today a bit not here. slept early last night but felt very sleepy today. tried to spread out my workload, but i can't seem to think and design anything today. on weekend mode already.

wahaha long absence...
just a brief update of my August 2007.
4/8 Sat - What Colours Me workshop. Learn how to apply makeup. it's almost the same concept as design la. what looks nice to me may not look nice to other. hmmm.
Rushed to Wendy's bday chalet. i forgot the theme was retro! haha but guess what? my pri sch "ballet" shoes work. Wendy wore them too! :P
6/8 Mon - went to watch Invisible Target, but i blogged it already.
8/8 Wed - blogged already, abt my national day eve stayover with Faith, Junren, RJ and Alvin.
9/8 Thu - National Day, went cycling. Tried to learn to cycle.
11/8 Sat - cell word. we kinda finished the series on Bible characters:Victorious Living.
Worship prac.
12/8 Sun - MCG meeting at mac's.
13/8 Mon - shift office. booo~ we're no longer in Kampong Bahru Rd. We shifted to Hong Lim Complex. arranged the desks in such a way tt i have my private space now. Praise the Lord!
14/8 Tue - think from all the shiftin' my colleague couldn't take the dust. so she took mc. and i went to eat the famous crayfish horfun. See the photo below? taken from my handphone camera and uploaded from it. haha.
15/8 Wed - went to meet a client with my boss. client lives in Picadilly Circus. a part of singapore i have never seen before. he's a dog breeder - golden retriever - and has a few new puppies. website is for the dogs. client is the adviser to the prime minister of Papua New Guinea!! saw a few of his photos taken of HIS island.
Keyboard spoil..... can't type C normally. gotta press very hard each time. :(
can't rem which day this week, i forgot to switch off the aircon after work. my dad fetched me all the way back after dinner just to switch it off. >.<
the next day i told my boss, he stuck the aircon control to the door. (our old office aircon controller was literally next to the door so i wouldn't forget.)
18/8 Sat - supposed to be in Tj Balai this weekend. but i have so much work over the week that i couldn't set aside time to plan for the trip. somemore my mom nagged abt the S.Koreans being kidnapped because they were doing missionary work. no peace to go.
20/8 Mon - after hearing from Aloysius abt the high interest rates of Standard Chartered bank e$avers account, i felt very gian to find out more. ended up opening 2 accounts on the spot in Vivocity. haha..
21/8 Tue - Our namecard printer, Ben came after lunch. He emailed me tt the namecards would only be ready tmr, so he's early. he's... cute. *blushes*
25/8 Sat - went to Judy's bday celebration after setting up for projection. so hard to find sia the place. got a lift from Janice's bf. she brought along her dog, so cute. So happy to meet up with YEP friends finally. but not everyone turned up. awww... miss u, OLC and jiewei! haha. still feel tt this bunch of friends are the best. though one of us.. *ahem* ...is not very likeable, everyone still include *ahem* in conversations.

29/8 Wed - Brokest day of the year. i'm left with $17 in my bank, can't withdraw a cent. because i had transferred money to one of my new bank accounts and i haven't got my pay.
received a call from a china woman, asking me to go down for a roadshow. can't really understand her as she babbles away.
30/8 Thu - meeting with another client, Siloso Beach Resort. first time inside the hotel :D nice place. i wanted to celebrate my bday there, but couldn't think of who to invite to stay with me. judy and weiting also couldn't confirm they're free. anyways.
fell into the trap of financial greed. as i look back now, it was because yday i couldn't even withdraw money that kind of brokeness, that kind of vulnerability that caused me to fall.
today another china woman called. told me to check her company website, details for authenticity. i actually gave this unknown caller my IC number and bank account number (the one with no money though.) because she told me i have won S$200,000. stupid me.
during lunch she called again, saying i have to pay tax first. this made me start to doubt.
so after lunch i emailed the police for advice. hope i didn't give away too much confidential info.
felt so distracted from work because of this.
those of u who read this pls learn from my mistake and don't let it happen to urself.
but thank God nothing has happened yet.
went home and repented.
oh i went to watch Bourne Ultimatum with Diana at PS after work. it's very cool, the way they all trick each other. haha. think it's good. at least i understand it. haha.. it's not as confusing as the first 2 in the series.

:: National Day stayover ::
my butt is aching.. sooo tired after a day out with my triplets and friends. haha.. my triplets are Faith and Junren, and my friends are Rj and Alvin.
wed was public holiday eve. a client asked me to stay back to upload some stuff on their website. i was sort of a middle person, because i had to pass the files to someone else to upload. and i had to wait till the person upload the files on the website before my client allowed me to leave =x haiz~ the guy seemed to have left his office earlier, so i could not reach him, so i had to inform the client tt there's no point in me staying to check the website since the guy had left. c'mon, it's public holiday eve! some companies would give their staff a half day off okay!
after work i went to Burlington Sq to meet my triplets. haa.. went to buy a pirated Sony Ericsson earpiece converter - to connect to a normal earphones plug. ****** SonyE to come up with UNIQUE products and peripherals. i had to buy a bigger memory card since i'm using the phone as a mp3 player as well. and then i can keep the thai phone at home till my sis comes to collect it back. but i didn't get the card though. didn't know it costs so much. grrr...
went up to junren's apartment and slack. chatted with him on msn and played msn games. haha yeah i know, we could just talk face to face ya. faith was playing an online game. started to get hungry around 9+pm, so we went for supper. Rochor beancurd was just a few minutes walk away. =P after we came back i went to take a shower. Alvin arrived. he brought dvds along, and i watched 300, the movie. couldn't quit laughing at the drag queen in the movie, Xerxes. haha.. didn't really catch the dialogue most of the time. had to ask Alvin what they were saying, since he's watched it 5 times! Jr's place has become a Lan shop. lol. he, alvin and faith were all playing online games.
then Rj arrived past midnight. he was quite tired, so he went to sleep. can't rem what we did, but faith and i went to sleep around 3am. haa.. chatted till we fell asleep. woke up around 9+am.. i gained an extra left eyelid these few days and felt v weird, like i had to force open my eyelids properly, but after blinking it droops down again. argh.. washed up and went out and realise the guys had not been sleeping well. they had to sleep on the sofa cuz they gave us the biggest bed. Jr is a super light sleeper.. both he and Rj woke up when they heard my camera's shutters. and i dunno why Rj was outside in the living room since he went to bed first.
went to buy BK breakfast with Jr. quite an expensive breakfast, since there must be some cheap good breakast around the area. guess we're all quite lazy. wanted to swim here, but procrastinated. haha.. before the stayover faith told me that both of us will go swimming while the guys play their games. and i was quite happy with the plan cuz i'm quite shy to go swimming with guy friends. haha. but she asked the guys to join in. anyway in the end we didn't go la.
we went to ECP to cycle. i rode on a double bike behind Rj. i must say he's good man. though my dad rides a motorbike, it's still more stable than a bicycle. to be able to ride a double bike with confidence is really zai man. i rem the last time i rode a double bike was with Hilwan, at pulau ubin. Weng Heng was also there. we went there for a photography session. really miss those times man. Wan was zai also, since the terrain at pulau ubin was much rougher and tougher.
the bike gave us really bad aching butt...and my whole groin area.. tt i wonder if tt's how it feels when u lose ur first time. *coughs* ... everytime Rj and i overtake the rest and gone too far in front we would stop and wait for them, and i would get off the bike and complain of a badly hurting butt. we had lunch at ECP hawker centre. ordered fried oysters, fried carrot cake, fried kuey tiao, fried hokkien mee and satay. =D thank God for healing me of my sickness that i could eat KFC (with my dad on tue) and all these stuff without having sore throat again. thank God for holding back the rain though it looked like it was going to rain anytime the whole day.
we got to a quieter part of ECP and alvin gave me a bicycle lesson. he was really very encouraging, and i could sense some progress in learning to cycle. i didn't master it yet, because i first have to overcome the lack of confidence. i never learnt much when i was young. i used to be quite proud tt my parents never forced me to take up extra lessons or whatever, when all my classmates were busy with piano lessons, ballet, swimming etc. but now i feel like i've lost out a lot in my childhood. sometimes i feel quite a failure, that so many pple can cycle like it's an easy feat while i can't. haiz.
after 3 hours it was time to return the bikes. then we went out to take bus back to Bugis. we had dinner at Koo Kee ramen & dumpling restaurant. hmm yummm.. had xiaolongbao and ramen. very satisfied. good food the whole time. hehe.. i was super stoned by that time and from dinner to back at the apartment i was just like a zombie. watched part of the National Day Parade on tv and waited for the fireworks. tried to catch it outside the window, but the view was blocked by other buildings. went home after that. Rj also left since he has school the next day. so only Faith and alvin stayed at Jr's place for another day. felt a bit cheated but i shan't say more.
took train from Little India station. thank God that i could have a seat though i was expecting a super crowded train after the NDP. my butt hurts esp when i am about to sit down and get up. =( slept late last night cuz i was busy transferring my contacts from my old phone to new phone. sooo tired.

we went to ECP to cycle. i rode on a double bike behind Rj. i must say he's good man. though my dad rides a motorbike, it's still more stable than a bicycle. to be able to ride a double bike with confidence is really zai man. i rem the last time i rode a double bike was with Hilwan, at pulau ubin. Weng Heng was also there. we went there for a photography session. really miss those times man. Wan was zai also, since the terrain at pulau ubin was much rougher and tougher.
the bike gave us really bad aching butt...and my whole groin area.. tt i wonder if tt's how it feels when u lose ur first time. *coughs* ... everytime Rj and i overtake the rest and gone too far in front we would stop and wait for them, and i would get off the bike and complain of a badly hurting butt. we had lunch at ECP hawker centre. ordered fried oysters, fried carrot cake, fried kuey tiao, fried hokkien mee and satay. =D thank God for healing me of my sickness that i could eat KFC (with my dad on tue) and all these stuff without having sore throat again. thank God for holding back the rain though it looked like it was going to rain anytime the whole day.
we got to a quieter part of ECP and alvin gave me a bicycle lesson. he was really very encouraging, and i could sense some progress in learning to cycle. i didn't master it yet, because i first have to overcome the lack of confidence. i never learnt much when i was young. i used to be quite proud tt my parents never forced me to take up extra lessons or whatever, when all my classmates were busy with piano lessons, ballet, swimming etc. but now i feel like i've lost out a lot in my childhood. sometimes i feel quite a failure, that so many pple can cycle like it's an easy feat while i can't. haiz.
after 3 hours it was time to return the bikes. then we went out to take bus back to Bugis. we had dinner at Koo Kee ramen & dumpling restaurant. hmm yummm.. had xiaolongbao and ramen. very satisfied. good food the whole time. hehe.. i was super stoned by that time and from dinner to back at the apartment i was just like a zombie. watched part of the National Day Parade on tv and waited for the fireworks. tried to catch it outside the window, but the view was blocked by other buildings. went home after that. Rj also left since he has school the next day. so only Faith and alvin stayed at Jr's place for another day. felt a bit cheated but i shan't say more.
took train from Little India station. thank God that i could have a seat though i was expecting a super crowded train after the NDP. my butt hurts esp when i am about to sit down and get up. =( slept late last night cuz i was busy transferring my contacts from my old phone to new phone. sooo tired.
these few days i'm shifting office from Kampong Bahru Rd to Hong Lim Complex. should have lotsa good food there, but it's further from Vivocity now. awww...

:: invisible target & girl talk ::
went to watch a movie "Invisible Target" yesterday, by myself hoho~
i didn't like to watch movie by myself.. i've missed A LOT of movies that i had badly wanted to watch because i'd rather have company. i was surprised tt weiting watches movies by herself and doesn't seem bothered about it. so i've finally decided and told myself to just heck it and watch it myself.
boy i am sooo happy to have caught this movie. it's a HK movie directed by Benny Chan, starring Jaycee (Jackie Chan's son), Shawn Yue and Nicholas Tse (earning milk powder money)!! haha.. i like to catch HK shows with cute guys. but i realise it's not easy finding someone who shares common interest. =D
IT'S A GREAT MOVIE!! enjoy it totally. got some funny dialogues, fighting scenes just when i expected them (i'm serious!), and jaycee looks more n more like his daddy! esp when he tries to fight. haha.. there is a good ending too. not very happy, but at least my fav guys r alive. =P
i know very little abt shawn yue, but i have always been fascinated by how much he looks like nicholas tse. haha.. and nic's baby is born! really hope he'll continue to be a good husband and daddy.
i dun think i'll buy the vcd when it comes out, because it's not like in another language where i have to watch it again to catch the joke/story. but i'll be anticipating its tv premier. =)

:: Split Second ::
i'm so disappointed in last night's ending of Split Second - HK drama on Channel U at 10pm!!!
ALL the main characters died!!!
very interesting twist to the usual happy endings.. i would say it's very bold of the script writer to try this style. and i appreciate the HK-Thai ties for this drama.. i wonder if the director is HK or Thai. u gotta tell the actors from both countries to coordinate. i would say it's marvellous.
and i realise the Thai main actor is also the lead actor from Bangkok Robbery. Somehow halfway thru the drama it occurred to me that they are the same person, then i took out my VCD and compared the actor's name. haha.. he looks much younger and better in Split Second.
and haha i like the show mainly because of the guys in it. =P i got really sian when they all died! Esp Sam, the Thai actor, he died because he refused to go hospital after he was shot. he went to buy flowers for the girl he liked and died bleeding. Dong also, he could have gone to hospital after getting shot (by the same guy - argh!), but he insisted on going to find his girl. and then it ended. =( !!!
