:: Thai language ::

I think Rev Yee is really dedicated. He came here 11 years ago with his family (to another province at first, then to Bangkok). Together, they picked up the language, reading and writing, and had to adapt to the culture here and now he's able to preach in Thai and even read the Thai Bible fluently!

But some of the things that could hinder is the fear of pronouncing wrongly. Here are some examples:

"Heal!" could be pronounced as "Pee (on him)!" if the wrong tone is used.

And "Phra Jao Phu Ying Yai" can mean God Almighty, or it can also mean God the big girl if also the wrong tone is used. Such big mistakes I'd be afraid to make!

The Thai language has 5 tones, but i can't tell the difference between the 3rd and 5th tones. It's hard to listen carefully....
