haha finally got time to update.. hmm.. start from friday? Boss went to Germany to watch the world cup live.. cool~ yeah on thur n fri he was not in, so juliana and i r able to relax a bit. we packed up and dusted the office.. =P i'm not saying we were idle because boss was not in okay, i even did OT on thurs to finish my work k. but fri got lotsa stuff so i gotta leave on time. thank God there were no last minute instructions.
wanted to: go to China Sq Central Acts Lifestyle bookshop to buy nice pass it on cards. then go to far east plaza Crest to pick up books and cds with esther, then go to Queenstown for SonicFest. but i couldn't make it for the last plan. had dinner with esther. thanks esther for the treat!! cuz i didn't have cash.. was about to ask to borrow money from her. we went to Pepper Lunch. i was v impressed with the system (cuz it's Jap) and the food. hehe.. i knew i couldn't eat a lot so i didn't order the double hamburger steak or combo. esther even bought a slice of cake for me.. Blackforest.. hehe.. this month i really gained alot of weight. eat too much cakes. jialat.
reached home close to 11pm.. still gotta work on the design for harvest event invites/posters. did till 3am then went to slp.
sat woke up real early to go harbourfront. my mom really v impatient that day, n i felt quite pissed. we were meeting the rest at 8.15am. n we left home earlier than 7am. she was really worried abt missing the ferry sia. there were 8 of us going to batam, Rachael Soh n her mom (a frequent traveller to batam), Cristal and her mom (the organiser of the trip), her god-grandma n uncle. i was really excited cuz i have no impression of batam at all. wonder how the place looks like.
when we reached we found our driver, A-dong, who will bring us around the whole day. our first stop was Kuta massage parlour. dunno which massage i did.. haha.. but shld be oil massage. Cristal was beside me.. haha we were all v shy abt taking off our clothes.. haha.. not used to it.. we had a bone-cracking good time. i managed to communicate a little in Bahasa Indonesia with my masseur. then we went downstairs, after 2 hours, to drink ginger tea. it was very spicy but i think good for health ba.
then we went to eat lunch. ordered a lot of food. haha.. after lunch we went to the hair salon. i already wanted to perm my hair for v long time. cheap cheap!! 225000 Rp nia~ had my hair washed by a guy. hehe.. felt not bad.. ;) saw a real sissy. another hairdresser. he had mascara n eyeshadow n blusher on la. my hairdresser really slow sia. or maybe he wanted to ensure quality so he took his time.. *shrugs* i was the last to finish doing hair la. Cristal and my mom did treatment and massage. Aunty Juliet coloured her hair. i wasn't really pleased with how my hair turned out la.
went shopping at BCS. it was big but nothing much. got a lot of shops selling trendy clothes, but my mom didn't give me money.. =( walked around with Cristal and Rachael. we were most thrilled at the supermarket (at least i was). haha.. i was excited looking at the packaging design of food. bought a lot of snacks back.. =P went for dinner at a food centre. it was good. but we didn't have a lot of time. gotta catch the last ferry back.
reached home at 12am. didn't realise that our 8.45pm (indo time) ferry is actually v late.
sunday went to church for reflective service. hehe shocked a lot of pple with my new hairstyle. it was indeed v risky.. cuz i wasn't sure if the hairdresser understood wad i wanted. Thanks Jac for the present! got baking tools as my birthday present. hehe.. we sang a lot of hymns at the service. i didn't know most of them. didn't really feel reflective. felt religious instead.
there was Psalmist Resource Corner today. i think sales is not bad la. but we had to pack v early cuz the table was to be returned with the music n sound equipment. had lunch with esther at the kopitiam opp the indian temple. ate dim sum.. =P
went to boon keng to look for SKP. a plastic bag shop. cool~ didn't know abt it. then went to Crest to return the stuff. it was settled v quickly. after that went home to slp. good thing i took that nap cuz tt night i stayed up till v late.. quite caught in between. on one hand i wanna do the design for the invites well, on the other hand i was v worried abt going late for work. after all it's only the start of my 2nd week..
but thank God i didn't wake up late. but felt like today v few pple going to work. hmm.. it was quite an eventful journey. ok la not really. just that one lady fainted on the train at farrer park station and caused a 3 minute delay. but thank God i am still early and able to stroll slowly to the office. brought a lot of snacks from Batam for my boss n colleague.
then... today nv go out after work la. went home straight. shld be slping soon.

:: disappointed ::
hmm.. briefly abt the Family Camp.. the guest speaker was v humorous, seemed to have thought very long abt his message to make sure it is injected with humour at every 5 min interval.
meals, according to elizabeth, is sucky. but to me it's alright. but i won't go for 2nd helping (most of the time).
went out to Jusco.. me n shiqi were rushing like mad cuz we only had 2 hours for the whole shopping centre, becuz we wanted to go pasar malam after that. had to make arrangements with the bus la. i kinda caused some worry cuz i didn't know there were 2 buses going to pasar malam, thought only 1. so i got into the wrong bus n had the other bus' IC looking for me. sigh. bought a lot of food that i couldn't finish.. sigh.
went out to A&W. i asked the concierge to arrange transport. i wanted to go somewhere else so i told them we don't need transport back. got a few pple pissed with me. feel quite sad.. they didn't console me when i apologised also.. sigh.
ate a lot of cakes the whole trip. played Blind man bluff on the last night. skipped 2 finale sessions n got smacked on the bottom by wee lee.. *ouch*
hmm.. then abt my week at work it was okay. had been having lunch with my colleague Juliana everyday. today had dim sum.. heh.
i was late today n i felt v bad abt it. my dad's bike almost toppled over n ran over my foot. thank God it didn't happen. i thought going by motorbike will be faster than LRT, MRT, n walking. ended up super late. disappointed with myself.

tired ah.. hehe sorry ah lin feng, this is gonna be A4 or longer again.. =P
ok monday woke up for breakfast with my mom then went to church for arts camp. joined session first then split up to our groups for training. managed to come up with ideas. had lunch at the "coffeeshop opp the hindu temple" long name sia. was tired but still gotta discuss. worked out some stuff then went to the room to settle down. wanted to take a nap but couldn't. shirley they all were playing game n i joined them. we got so engrossed with the games that we had to get vincent to da-pao for us.. hehe..
oh yah landy led worship for session earlier so i wanted to encourage him but i didn't.. =X hope he is encouraged la.. =P
that night i slept late... cuz it's a camp ma..... slp so early for wad? =P (that wasn't my mentality at youth camp these few yrs)
next morning woke up tired. haha.. did projection for esther.. the stress part was i can't recognise song titles by the intro of the songs.. so thank God i had gabriel's help in recognising 'Complete'.. =P (u dun understand wad i mean nvm) haha
was feeling v ...slack.. lethargic n a bit grumpy~
used my laptop to detect wireless connection n i got it!! downloaded a few updates.. =P but halfway thru the connection got v weak. sian. went around looking at the dance practices. around 5.30pm i went off to meet hao. felt a few yrs younger cuz i was wearing sajc t-shirt.. =P went to bras basah n i went to Basheer to choose graphic books for my present!! =D chose 2.. didn't go even near to his budget cuz i wanted to eat something better for dinner. so we went to Jack's Place.. the toilets v cool sia. the 'ladies' and 'gents' are called 'jack' n 'jill'! cool!
ordered a chicken mushroom spag (but i dun like) n venison & crayfish.. n singapore sling, finally got to try it!! =P then ting came.. we went upstairs to eat xiaolongbao becuz i want to try.. =P after tt we walked to CHIJMES for drinks n soccer. watched south korea vs togo. haha.. tried tequila sprite n tequila coke. all hao treat!! =D yeah after tt went to take train home. hao n ting sent me home.. THANKS GUYS!!! got a birthday kiss from both of them on the train haha.. slept around 2am after watching a bit of Switzerland vs France with my dad.

woke up at 9+am with an alarm clock.. haha.. went out with my mom to eat brunch.. in the end went to sengkang jack's place (again!). after tt went to woodlands to meet faith, jianxiong n vincent. jianxiong drove us to esplanade park for an outdoor worship session. it was REALLY great. to start a new 20th yr, a third decade of my life worshipping God. thanks vincent for leading worship n praying for us!
then he left to meet his friend. so faith, jianxiong n i hung out around esplanade, taking crappy photos. haha.. until 5pm, then he drove us to CCK. met alvin n lin feng there. they bought tickets to watch R.V. n then we went to Suki Sushi for dinner. ate alot =P
went home n Chihiro came to my place to return my cds n use internet a while... TIRED liao!!

wait, let me continue from friday abt wad's been happening so far:
went to hougang in the morning (11am - that's morning to me) =P with my mom for brunch. just walked around, nothing much.. went back home in the afternoon around 3+ i think.. relax a while, then asked my dad to drive me to expo.. there's this GoFest in Asia.. it's really cool. sort of like a missions conference thing, then in the evening there will be worship free admission every night. last yr also have, but i didn't go.. this time i went with Faith, Jianxiong and Akouo girls.. i had dinner with them at the food court la.. was really excited abt buying things from the booth.
then it was soon time to start. Joseph Chien was there. then we all worshipped together. most of the songs were unfamiliar to me n a bit hard to pick up. the time of testimony was good though, a cambodian sharing abt the salvation of his village. and message was very good. a simple passage abt Jesus meeting the Samaritan woman, has deep significance. all the 12 disciples went off to buy food, but Jesus stayed behind and had a purpose. in talking to the woman, she believed, and went to tell the whole town abt this Jesus. all the 12 disciples missed the show because they were too concerned abt their physical needs. in terms of missions, this is a good lesson to learn.
after that before we left i went to various booths to check out abt missions. bought 7 pieces of pass-it-on cards. hope to buy more another time. also bought a pair of earrings for 50¢.
went for supper at Changi Village with faith n jx... Nasi Lemak!! =P then we went to Fisherman Village.. i wasn't really allowed to stay out late... =P supposed to go home n pack my bag for the next day.. but we found somewhere to watch soccer over heineken. had a close brush with xiaoqiang.. it was v funny la.. they were laughing at my reaction to it. we chatted until abt 1+am i think.. after soccer la.. then i went home n packed my bag. got scolded by my mom cuz she was awake when i reached home. slept a while so v tired.
ya i was packing my bag for tanjung balai with my parents' cell grp. when we reached harbourfront we were quite late for breakfast. was quite easily pissed due to my lack of sleep.. but i was glad to see the Feetwashers like Jane, Pricy, Cleon, Dally... kinda was a leader for them when they in pri 2.. can still rem them..

ok brush through quickly: did visitations to 7 homes in tanjung balai, my team had a doctor, so we followed along as she did blood pressure tests and talk to the pple. most of the pple there r sick n poor to see doctors. had bak kut teh for lunch. at the last home we went to, i was running low on energy n i was not in the conversation at all. walked back to hotel to rest. woke up for dinner at the restaurant next door. the main dish was crab.. =P had ice cream n beer too.. after dinner walked to a cool cafe for tea.. that cafe is really so NOT tanjung balai la! very well lit, very modern furnishings, even i like it!
after dinner went to a minimart to buy sweets n instant noodles then went back to hotel to watch soccer. gotta thank God for good weather cuz it only rained when we were indoors!

i didn't go visitation but stayed with the Feetwashers to conduct Sunday School. we gave out lotsa snacks and drinks to the kids. Daniel played a game of blind man's bluff with them. we went to eat orh mee for lunch n it was pouring heavily. was quite drenched.
i went to the back door n watched the rain n saw a cat searching for something in the grasses.. then i saw it carry something in its mouth. i thought it was a prize - a mouse.
but when i looked carefully i realised - it was a kitten!!! i ran to the front door of the church to find it. then i saw a poor little thing inside a snack packet.
n i asked bena to bring me an umbrella to look for its mommy n sibling. i was sure this was not the one i saw.
anyway i was quite occupied worrying abt the kitten, its safety, its hunger, etc.. but i joined in worship when the service started. n uncle john (john sim) preached. it was a short story actually, but phei phei had to translate it phrase by phrase. it became quite xin ku to listen. but it was still good la. then it was time to go back to singapore. wanted to go for camp when i came back, but after dinner it was already 9+pm. so i went home to pack my bag instead.

:: baking session ::
haha wed was happening for me too... reached home around 11+am.. emailed a company that i am accepting the job offer.. i shld have called up the bishan company but i still didn't :P oops..
and i am officially starting work on the 19th!! =)
did nothing the whole afternoon.. rested a while.. then sweeyi came around 5pm. she told me to meet judy at orchard but i was reluctant.. was thinking of eating crabs at my house downstairs.. n play mahjong.. =P but peilin couldn't come.. sigh.. oh yah she came with an electric oven.. my birthday present in advance :P
then she finally told me tt we r meeting 2 other pple besides judy, one vietnamese guy, one thai guy. n it was a matchmaking session for me. then i started to get ready to go out.. :P
on the train she told me tt i noe the 2 guys. so they weren't vietnamese or thai afterall. (sigh) n i guessed one of them is ian. when we reached dhoby ghaut she heard that the other guy wasn't coming.. hmm. so insincere lor.. haha =x
went to cineleisure pastamania to find judy - AND IAN. haha.. they got a coffee bean cheesecake for me n we shared. it was nice.. =) we ordered banana dessert pizza and combos. our pizza turned out to be ham & mushroom pizza... it was a mistake la.. but we accepted it n started eating already. so when the REAL banana pizza came we all looked quite guilty. :P
after dinner ian left. so judy sweeyi n i went upstairs to watch trailers. judy wanted to play shooting game at the arcade, but no one to play with.. around 9.30pm sweeyi wanted to go home.. so we left.
today i didn't go out much.. spent time with my mom at home. watched The Pianist.. man it's a very sad movie.. makes me Thank God i wasn't born in that era, in that country. the soldiers were as cruel as wad i know abt the japanese occupation. going into pple's homes and drag them out into the streets, line them up n shoot them all. there was a baby who kept crying and its mother had to smother it when the soldiers came to find pple to torture. i just thought that the title of the movie shld be The Jewish Pianist instead of just The Pianist cuz the part abt him being a pianist is only altogether abt 10 min? the part abt him running and hiding becuz he is a Jew is most part of the story.
had dinner with my mom too. then we shopped for baking ingredients and accessories. haha went home to bake choc chip cookies.. turned out to be chau tar.. i was very pissed when my dad threw away my 1st batch of cookies and started to put the 2nd batch to bake without telling me. i mean i was outside the kitchen when he did that. we always quarrelled whenever i try to cook or bake. he's a cook himself, yet he doesn't teach me anything. n when i try to cook something on my own, he always criticises my method. so i ask him to help me, he said if he help me i wun learn anything. wah this makes me blow up man.
anyway. 3rd batch was nice. but my cookies turned out to be pancakes. too soft.. sigh. then my dad started to mix ingredients to make his own batch of cookies.. not bad la but i wasn't interested to eat anymore. my mom laughed becuz my dad became interested in baking too.

oh yah forgot to mention ....my dad picked up a palmtop!! it was discarded among other things like bags, jeans etc... it was a old model, m100.. we replaced the batteries and IT'S WORKING FINE!! =D i've got a palmtop, finally!! so i did research on it n realised i'm actually v outdated abt PDA stuff.. haha.. i need to buy the direct serial cable for it.. anyone knows where i can get it?
and i am officially starting work on the 19th!! =)
did nothing the whole afternoon.. rested a while.. then sweeyi came around 5pm. she told me to meet judy at orchard but i was reluctant.. was thinking of eating crabs at my house downstairs.. n play mahjong.. =P but peilin couldn't come.. sigh.. oh yah she came with an electric oven.. my birthday present in advance :P
then she finally told me tt we r meeting 2 other pple besides judy, one vietnamese guy, one thai guy. n it was a matchmaking session for me. then i started to get ready to go out.. :P
on the train she told me tt i noe the 2 guys. so they weren't vietnamese or thai afterall. (sigh) n i guessed one of them is ian. when we reached dhoby ghaut she heard that the other guy wasn't coming.. hmm. so insincere lor.. haha =x
went to cineleisure pastamania to find judy - AND IAN. haha.. they got a coffee bean cheesecake for me n we shared. it was nice.. =) we ordered banana dessert pizza and combos. our pizza turned out to be ham & mushroom pizza... it was a mistake la.. but we accepted it n started eating already. so when the REAL banana pizza came we all looked quite guilty. :P
after dinner ian left. so judy sweeyi n i went upstairs to watch trailers. judy wanted to play shooting game at the arcade, but no one to play with.. around 9.30pm sweeyi wanted to go home.. so we left.
today i didn't go out much.. spent time with my mom at home. watched The Pianist.. man it's a very sad movie.. makes me Thank God i wasn't born in that era, in that country. the soldiers were as cruel as wad i know abt the japanese occupation. going into pple's homes and drag them out into the streets, line them up n shoot them all. there was a baby who kept crying and its mother had to smother it when the soldiers came to find pple to torture. i just thought that the title of the movie shld be The Jewish Pianist instead of just The Pianist cuz the part abt him being a pianist is only altogether abt 10 min? the part abt him running and hiding becuz he is a Jew is most part of the story.

:: PRAISE GOD ::
for a few things..
1stly ) not 1, not 2, but 3 job offers!! on the same day! (tuesday)
last week i read an email n i am supposed to go city hall for 2nd round of interview on 6th June, but the person, called Angellin (haha i think she likes me for having same name as her) put "(Mon)" after "6th June" so i panicked. i was supposed to go kbox on monday. was afraid it might clash.. i smsed her to confirm.. she replied it's tuesday.. so phew!
tuesday i read an email (sent on monday) that i have been offered a job at kampong bahru rd.. it's a 5-day week job, 8.30am-6pm (no more late nights for me!) and I will have a Christian colleague from Lighthouse Evangelical (i think) ..the job scope is much what i wanted..
and on tuesday after the 2nd round of interview i was on my way home at city hall.. then i received a phone call from the company in bishan. i dun really favour that job becuz it is very inaccessible, n the lady who interviewed me was quite intimidating.. asked me about my family members, y i didn't visit their website etc.. :S haha
2ndly ) i had quite a happening week so far (mon & tue) LOL.. ya monday went kboxing with Faith, Gabriel, n Jianxiong.. 1st time hear jx sing, not bad.. it's good that i didn't choose v much songs, so there wasn't a great sense of disappointment at the end when we have to leave with some songs unsung. jx drove, so we took bus to Cathay to his car.. then went to Raffles Marina.. i wish Singles' Club got car.. we would have gone to JB many times already.. :P ya Raffles Marina is a country club at Tuas.. when i heard that name i realise how expensive it would be to dine there.. i was whining n when i realise that i was whining i told myself to keep quiet la. so in the end the guys + thomas treated us to dinner.
walked around the quay and just chill out... it was fun.. wish i could bring the singles' club there.. haha.. felt hungry, so we went to boon lay market for supper.. played mind games.. LOL.. went home at 1.30am. reached home around 2+am..
that was monday.
tuesday i had the interview in the afternoon ma.. then after tt went home.. rested for a while, my uncle came to use my comp.. then i went out to meet the singles' club. not really anymore.. there were 2 couples already.. hmm~ had dinner at Wisma Food Republic.. then walked aimlessly n ended up at Far East Shopping centre playing pool.. that building super deserted man. i walked to the toilet alone n felt like i was an easy prey for kidnappers/robbery/etc man.. haha..
after tt went to burger king.. n we decided to play mahjong. now everyone thinks tt i'm a mahjong addict n that my eyes will twinkle when i hear the word 'mahjong' is it!! haha.. went to nic's house n waited for michael n wendy to arrive. played till 4am like tt then went to sleep. woke up at 9am to have breakfast n then go home. my mom didn't scold me wor.. haha..
i just replied to the job offer .. waiting for confirmation.

hmm this trip is really a blessing. had 3 newcomers from Praise to join the "seasoned" trippers like Persis, Joseph, Elisa n myself. Joel, Adeline n Hiong Yee.
Joel has been v blessed and has quite a few testimonies to share with us abt things that happened in his life recently, n things he felt during the trip. even my namecard added on to his testimony because of the bible verse on it. hehe.. i wanted Wiky to keep one but i got not enough. hmm.. next week i'll give him one. feel so bad tt he looked quite curious but didn't get to show him..
Ai Mei talked to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wah so happy! she's really a very special child.. dedicated to God.. from young she already know how she is not to eat food offered to idols. but the intriguing thing abt her is from young she is VERY antisocial. not shy. but antisocial. she frowns when pple try to talk to her, makes noise when pple try to carry her.. but... she's opening up liao ba.. so happy to be able to hear her speak to me! hehe.. suddenly i want to become her godmother.. she only speaks n understands teochew... but all i asked is, "ma ma leh?" then she pointed out to her mom. "pa pa leh?" she replied very softly n reluctantly, "singapore." =D
then during sunday school i teach art n craft again.. i like teaching art n craft. this time we separated the boys and girls n i taught the girls to make handmade earrings. i gave them a pair of eyepins and choose their combination of beads from my collection n when they were ready i would use the long nose pliers to make a hoop with the hook. Bena made a lot.. i wondered how to spell her name cuz she took the bead with the letter F, i asked her y she chose F, then she said her name is Fena ma, so F lor. i blur liao. she made a lot of earrings using the number beads.. i a bit regret letting her do so cuz Wiky's mom wanted a pair but dun have the hooks anymore..
n i discovered that Shanti's grandma is called Liqing. n Caiyun n Cailing are twins.... probably everyone else knows already.. but i dunno hokkien ma.. so when they talked abt it i probably dun understand. but nvm, learning "new" thing is still good.
Adeline keeps saying that i remind her of my sis.. haha.. mannerism, build.. but then she also notices the difference.. haha u wanna know? ask her urself la.. she's going to Phuket next week..
bought 3 tempes n 3 pisang gorengs.... ate them all by myself cuz it's too fried n unhealthy.... everyone else dun wan.. haha.. fat liao.. hmm.. i feel that Wiky n me.. not so close anymore.. sigh.

:: thoughts ::
went for 4 interviews for the past week.. God's blessing... i sent out resumes on monday afternoon n i received 3 replies on tue. so i went for interview on wed, thur n fri. i kept a journal on how each interview went.. so i'm not gonna reveal anything much here.. dun wanna get sued for certain comments.. haha
borrowed Angels and Demons, a book from Diana.. finished it within a week.. i dun usually read so fast. but it was the pace of the storyline that kept me reading. it's abt a timebomb that would go off in 24 hours n that thick thick book is all abt what happened in less than that 24 hours n a little after. i wasn't really convinced that time passed by that slowly as according to the book.
from that book i started to become curious about Catholic beliefs and history. ok i can't say too much also. i dun wanna get sued for any comment.
but no matter what pple say about Christianity, i still hold fast to my faith. i still believe that the creator of the universe is God, n science is just a way of getting closer to the mysteries of God.
today during cell grp i felt it was a good time of ministry. a lot of thoughts came to my mind, to remind me of things i've neglected. the verse "Let your 'Yes' be 'Yes' and 'No' be 'No'" came to me before Amos shared about it in word. felt that i haven't been truthful to even myself. there were lots of times when i wanted to say no, but i decided to say yes instead. n vice versa. i need to be more firm.
n the verse 'Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.' makes me think of Catholics again.. a neutral comment >> i feel that they talk alot about angels. i walked into a Catholic bookstore yday n saw a lot of pictures/models of angels.. n i feel that the pure in heart is referring to angels. i may be wrong, but this is just what came to my mind when i read the verse la.
hmm.. basically that's it.... hope my sister will pamper me when she's back ;)

:: nightmares ::
oh yah, forgot which days, but there was 1 day i had 2 nightmares. i think shld be last sunday la.. i took an afternoon nap.. then i dreamt tt i was taking LRT with sweeyi.. then met 2 pple who bumped into each other on the way in n were not happy. after that on the way back took LRT again n met the same 2 pple.. this time they pushed each other.. the lrt stopped halfway at the platform and one of the doors opened to the tracks. i was at that door n sweeyi quickly jumped off the lrt but i was struggling cuz i have the fear of heights n there were a lot of things on my hands. managed to jump off finally but had to struggle again to climb up to the platform. it was a narrow path n if i'm not careful i might fall back to the tracks. the whole nightmare is just the struggle to get to safety.
then that night i dreamt of myself eating tissue paper.. forgot who there were but i was in a rundown building.. eating steamboat.. but instead of food, i was eating packets of tissue paper.. the next morning i woke up at 7am i felt like vomiting.

:: not so satisfying week ::
sat
went to watch the Da Vinci Code with the church, at cineleisure.. i think it's the first time we have such a thing? met at Friends of Galilee. there were free food.. =P the movie was kind of weird. full of half truths. i was quite amazed at how they manage to find the churches/cathedrals to film. to fit in the story. n i felt quite weird when i saw the part of the pagan worship. didn't realise the influence was so great. nvm if u dunno wad i'm talking abt.. i dunno how to explain also.
had dinner at scott's food court. bought a cake for amos' birthday.
monday
was looking forward to going for interview at Vivonne's workplace.. but she called to say the interview is on wed.
hoped that Media Freaks would call me for a second interview. Jac suggested i email them to show my sincerity in wanting to work for them but i held back. if it's meant to be then it's meant to be, u know? maybe that's not the place God is calling me to anyway.
went for lunch with Audrey.. it's good to catch up with her once in a while. she treated me to pastamania at harbourfront. hehe.. finally got to try the dessert, but i dun like.
she could only come out during her lunch hour. so after that i called sweeyi to come out. went to take bus 143, passed by Malan Rd, passed by Clementi West Street 2, passed by Pandan Gardens. reminisce.
went to JE.. IMM Daiso!!! i only had $14? i think? so i told myself dun get tempted easily. but i tell u i feel that Daiso got this..... something 'evil' abt it. when i'm in there i feel like everything is useful/nice/worth buying.. then when i buy something home i dunno what i can use it for. Evil! bought a namecard holder, nail art accessory, green tea flavoured caramel corn, n instant rice (took me v long to rem this one).
had dinner at the HK cafe outside Daiso. just had yuan yang and yuan yang dessert. took the shuttle bus back to JE interchange then took mrt to woodlands. then took bus to sengkang, n asked my dad to fetch me home from there.

walked to pearl centre for lunch. had chicken chop spaghetti. $5.50 sia. officially broke for the week. n it's only tue. had to even borrow from sweeyi to have dessert.. (u must be thinking, what crap is this? broke then dun eat la.. but.. i'm like that la.)

wanted to revamp my website so that it is 'worthy' enough for me to show companies what i can do for web design. halfway chihiro called to ask me if i'm free to watch movie. her colleague booked ticket for the wrong day so she quickly called me to take her place. managed to get sweeyi n ian. then went to chinatown to pick up the tickets. thought i had plenty of time till i reached punggol mrt then i realise i'm not v early. rushed at chinatown, until my legs cramp. haha.. got the tickets n rushed to PS.. david came to buy an extra ticket but v suay, didn't get the same theatre as us. so weird, PS actually screen so many X-Men 3 at the same time in diff theatres.
i was quite sad at how the story turned out. so many main characters died. n my fav x-man, Cyclops, didn't look as handsome as before.. =( i just dun like an ending where my fav pple die.
had dinner at foodcourt. got money from ian cuz i lent him last week so i finally got money!! *dances around*

wanted to revamp my website so that it is 'worthy' enough for me to show companies what i can do for web design. halfway chihiro called to ask me if i'm free to watch movie. her colleague booked ticket for the wrong day so she quickly called me to take her place. managed to get sweeyi n ian. then went to chinatown to pick up the tickets. thought i had plenty of time till i reached punggol mrt then i realise i'm not v early. rushed at chinatown, until my legs cramp. haha.. got the tickets n rushed to PS.. david came to buy an extra ticket but v suay, didn't get the same theatre as us. so weird, PS actually screen so many X-Men 3 at the same time in diff theatres.
i was quite sad at how the story turned out. so many main characters died. n my fav x-man, Cyclops, didn't look as handsome as before.. =( i just dun like an ending where my fav pple die.
had dinner at foodcourt. got money from ian cuz i lent him last week so i finally got money!! *dances around*
i just realise i missed my kor's birthday last friday.. =( so sorry!

had brunch with my mom at kadaloor. u ask, where the heck is that? i answer, in punggol lor.
went for cell grp. i suddenly rem that worship prac no longer starts at 7pm, so i realise i could not make it for cat's birthday party at 5pm. sigh~
i think everyone feels that everyone is off-form for practice today. let's make it good tmr!
had dinner with the remaining pple (sound + psalmist) at potong pasir. had murtabak.. $5.. ouch..
i have $20 left for next week. OUCH.

hehe so long no update...
hmm.. i think i will have lots to say.. hmm.. where to begin..? ohh.. okok
sat.. went to Tanjung Balai, sick, have to pray v hard that the pollution there will not make me feel worse n that i will not spread my germs to the children there. this trip, honestly, not as enjoyable as all the previous trips. firstly becuz we did not sleep in aircon room this time.. i shldn't complain when it had been a kind offer for us to stay at uncle Asun's place. but tt night i had LOTSA mosquito bites n i felt like my blood is getting poisoned n i would die. secondly his wife did not cook dinner for us this time. maybe i just expected too much? n Wiky didn't stay with us to chat.. their new comp had no sound n i managed to fix the problem, but he was not around........ HE WENT TO FIND ADRIANO WITHOUT BRINGING US ALONG!!! yes the campus superstar Adriano!!!!!!
n i felt like i didn't do much, like when there's things to carry i notice i didn't help. so selfish! then on sunday my runny nose made me feel worse, on top of my mosquito bites. sigh. taught the children art n craft as usual, (i think that's my permanent job there, i hope~) but it wasn't as fun as the previous trip one. gotta confess that i thought of it only on friday so i didn't have time to get the materials. ended up just drawing n cutting. quite boring. at the end of sunday school i gave the girls earrings i bought from phuket long long time ago. i'm kinda clearing stock from my room.
came back earlier than usual to celebrate mother's day. i realise i forgot to appreciate my godma.. oopssss.... my parents were waiting for me at harbourfront.. 1st time they fetch me from my trip. had dinner at noodle hut..
monday i was supposed to send gail off for her mission trip, but i overslept.. sigh.. slept late last night ma, dun even rem what i did. so i went for a job interview at chinatown point at 2pm.. felt quite discouraged cuz they were looking for interactive designer (which i'm supposed to be), but my actionscript skill is lousy. felt that my website is not interactive enough. after that walked to suntec to meet sweeyi. shared with her a bowl of fish slice beehoon n vitamilk from carrefour. walked around till i was tired. on my way home michael they all managed to psycho me to go nic's hse to play mahjong. but i went home to bathe first.. still need to purge the poison from my skin. reached nic's place at 10.45pm. played all the way till the next morning at 10am. wahaha.. had a break at 3am.. went to eat roti prata.. haha..

went home to rest.. i think i stayed home the whole afternoon? then evening went to potong pasir for dinner with my parents then went to church for Psalmist Quarterly Discipleship Training. hmm~ PQDT. kinda dunno y but i dun have anything to share with my grp.

ahaha.. my dad's off day. went for breakfast at punggol plaza n went around looking for mahjong table. =P at 2+pm my dad n i started playing mahjong by ourselves, using the dinner table. then huixiang came n joined us. around 4+pm sweeyi came. we played till 5+? my dad went out for cell grp. so we had 1 less player. we started to watch H2.. i watched it b4 n i LOVED it. then yongcheng n his gf came.. they bought roti prata for us =P peilin arrived then we played mahjong. played till 9pm then yongcheng n his gf had to leave. so peilin took over. wah.. nonstop sia. =P we played till 11+pm then chihiro came over. sweeyi left then my parents came back. hmm.. seems like that day got a lot of pple come my house!! =P chihiro left then peilin, hx n i played dai dee till 4am.. if just now the mahjong session got count money, wah, i would have won, $20+? haha.. watched H2 a bit then went to sleep at 5am.

woke up at 12pm n realise that peilin n hx left already.. =P went to chinatown at 3pm to meet sweeyi n ian. kinda prepared to spend a lot tt day. but i only have $50 left. hmm~ bought 4 cds n that's it. had dim sum for high tea.. :P yumyum~ bought some toiletries n went to chinatown point to return chihiro her earpiece tt she left at my place. after tt went to smith street to find my mom n have dinner. it was not bad~ dumped my stuff with her then i went to church for sectional training.

today kinda supposed to go out with sweeyi but i slept till 2pm.. hehe.. watched H2 disc 4 & 5 n received a phonecall.. got another company ask me to go down for interview. cool~! praise God for job offer! i was still watching the vcd halfway.. =P so after i watched finish disc 5 i went to chinatown (again~) haha.. i like working in chinatown.. managed to find the place.. thanks to my tourguide instinct~ =P i like the working environment.. =P all guys~~~ hahahah helen will be starting work there next monday.. i didn't bring my demo reel or works in soft copy so they were kinda disappointed.. sigh~

:: stress ::
hmm.. i'm starting to peel.. esp my nose.. felt like it's going to crack everytime i smile or crinch my face.
i'm a bit stressed right now. there's an urgent need to look for job cuz my mom decided to quit hers. felt like she's eager to push me into the deep blue sea while she's trying to come up. but the more she nags at me to find job i feel more scared. she keeps warning me about working life. office politics. i rather she keeps me hopeful.
last night she went crazy - again. told me to email my sis to come back within 2 yrs. she stepped out of my room, then came back again. "tell her not 2 yrs from now, but 2 yrs since she started work in thailand." step out, step in. "when did she leave here ah? we moved here in 2002....blah blah blah"
*cries*
yday i cooked meals for myself. not tasty enough. i cooked rice, carrot, bacon, fried eggs n soup for lunch. rice, bacon n eggs for dinner. i did not step out of my house at all. used all leftovers from chinese new year reunion steamboat dinner. i can only pray that God bless the food and i will not get food poisoning. but i did not add seasoning. so at least it's healthy. i kind of feel like i'm living with rations. like there's war out there n i can only depend on what i have at home.
so sad i can't go out... my ezlink card only left 49¢. i can't tell my parents i need money. they'll just start nagging at me again.

hmm.. honestly i felt quite shi bai abt PRC this month. i was in charge but didn't do much.. my only excuse? it clashes with my grad show. on sunday itself i was quite confused abt the operation. was not organised, didn't do our own pricelist, didn't have enough change. and people started buying stuff but i didn't noticed what they bought. at least at the end the accounts tally.
there was audition for new Psalmists that sunday and also prac for tue prayer meeting. i guess i was supposed to KNOW that there was prac but i forgot. we mentioned it during our Psalmist TAP awards n meeting. i was v tired. went home to sleep straight after that. parents were not at home. they were at msia fishing. haha clash with my grad show too.
anyway on monday i couldn't sleep till 6+am. only woke up when david called. he already reached harbourfront! haha.. by the time i reached it was around 11+am. took taxi with wendy n michael into sentosa to palawan beach. met the rest of the grp. got yr 2s, yr 3s n us, grads. played beach volleyball. then went into the water. i didn't want to come out. haha.. played monkey.. got a bruise on my left knee when i dived for the ball. i rem knocking into jonathan but he doesn't. oh well~ i can't rem how but i got a bruise on my right foot too.
it was fun holding on to the volleyball n keeping afloat n getting further n further from shore. my feet weren't touching the ground anymore but i was not afraid cuz i got the ball!! haha.. it was fun letting the waves bring me around. i was a bit worried i might get leg cramps, but thank God i didn't. quite reluctant to go.. came up to play frisbee then went to shower. good thing wendy n i went earlier. there was a long queue already. n even longer behind us. there was a heavy downpour while i was waiting for jeananne n tingting.
went to PS n had noodle omelette. the rest went to Swensen's n we kinda met up a while after that but separated soon again. quite weird. parents came back from msia. it's time to check email daily for job offers!

:: WOOHOO FUSION OVER!!! ::
wah v tired sia these days..
wore heels.. skirt.. jacket..
been refilling my namecard at my booth, walking around, chatting with pple, watching the film screening..
supposed to reach at 9am but i always oversleep.. reach home close to midnight..
hao came on the first day.. asked him to help me buy namecard holders n black A3 paper.. wah then he dun wan to take my money.. wah.. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
finally on sat FUSION LAST DAY!! tore down the place at 1+pm.. went home with my panels then had noodles n went for cell grp. after that at 6+pm i went straight to clarke quay to meet the DMD pple. haha.. ate beehoon n chicken wings.. wah super oily sia. ordered ribena then vodka lime.. quite strong. i gulped it down cuz the film pple were going MoS n i wanted to join them. haha first time there.. wendy also went.
we all stamped our hands for entry then went back to Home Club to join the rest. kenneth started spinning at the decks n we all went crazy.. haa.. later found out that he was super nervous then. haha.. there was this magdelena thing which i thought was quite weird. quite bored so we went to MoS again. now got a lot of pple. gab joined us. it was fun with the dfv pple.. we all formed a circle on the dancefloor, just having our own fun.
went to the House section, RnB, Retro.. but RnB gave me headache.. too cramped. had a vodka cranberry before i left. had to take cab before 1 am so that the rate can be cheaper. reached home in 20 min.
THAT MARKS THE END OF MY POLY LIFE!

hmm.. miss sch. haha
sun saw this bus hanger advertising for NAFA graduation show.. hehehe can expand my namecard collection again~ went to botak to meet sweeyi after she helped me print my portfolio slot. took bus to bras basah.. went to Art Friend cuz she wanted to buy something. it was raining heavily so we were kinda stuck. i suggested going basheer. n OH MAN! i couldn't leave the place! i want to buy graphic book, but some were expensive n has a lot of content n the rest were slightly more affordable but less content. sigh~ my birthday is coming in less than 2 months!!! *hint hint*
walked to NAFA n we were v late. the pple were not even at their booths. v few namecards to collect. sigh~ went to PS to buy instant noodles then went home.
tue went to sch for booth setup.. n also to pass things n get things from pple.
i was disappointed when i saw my panel. too pink liao! at first i didn't mind it. but what swee yi said makes sense. the panel is impt in giving pple a good impression.. so.. i went to reprint on wed.
my dad got leave from thurs to mon... shiok sia~ haha.. but too bad i'm too busy with Fusion to be able to accompany him. but he's confirm going fishing over the weekend!!! that leaves my home open for party! *hint hint*
had breakfast with him at tekka mall then walked over to DPI to meet ian n dianya. my dad wanted to bring me to a pawnshop.. but.. i managed to escape. :S
printed my panel n i think it sucks. but i'm not financially able to make another reprint. this time it's not pink enough. sigh~
went to sch.. nothing much. then went to sweeyi's place to help her with her web. had homecooked food there =D i still rem last time in sec 2 i had homecooked food at yingheng's hse n it was so delicious i had 4 servings!!! HAHAHA..
went to sengkang n had dinner with my dad. on the escalator i thought i heard kenneth's voice so i looked back n there he was with yunting! haha.. dunno y he looked so pai seh.
TMR IS FUSION!!!! i'm excited as well as scared.. haha.. praying hard for everyone, for good health, safety, n good employers!

lately my sleeping hours r getting more n more absurd... wed night was 4.30am, last night was 5.30am... i'm getting a headache now.. anyway i still do my quiet time, but only read a chapter of the Bible a day.. last night i found some verses..

last nite had dinner at Kovan Heartland Mall Sakae Sushi.. shiok.... but v sian man, my dad v 泼冷水 one sia.. when my mom footed the bill he commented to me, "v cheap hor, not u pay one anyway." i on the spot sian diao. after tt my dad suggested 走走, look at clothes... but in the end he means i 走 on my own. once again, i on the spot sian diao. he doesn't know tt i'm broke. or else he'd nag at me.
just now went to amk to meet swee yi, to bring her to Botak to print work for portfolio.. bought a yummy white cheesy crab puff from Polar~ my lunch...
Botak told us to go upstairs to another print shop #02-13 to print our stuff cuz they have no more art card.. sian.. went upstairs n test printed mine first. i kept saying loudly, "eeeee so ugly!!" the colours turned out BAD. swee yi also test printed hers n she wasn't satisfied as well. so we said goodbye n went back to Botak.. we were almost willing to accept any kind of paper as long as they can print our work, cuz their colour is much more accurate. haha anyway there was someone who asked for swee yi's number wor~! woohoo!!
haha... swee yi 跳进黄河也洗不清了! hahaha... actually it's a 'she', n she took her number on hearing that she does animation work. wahaha.. they nv ask for mine.. wah.. but nvm.. i believe in God's will n timing.
wah u know wad, we did something that made me very happy eh! we walked from Botak to Serangoon Garden (again, for me) n went to Chomp Chomp n had the egg milk beancurd!! on our way we picked up $10 from the ground!!! it was sort of our treat. woohoo~ Thank God for that money cuz i didn't withdraw enough earlier for the prints. then she wanted to bring me to her grandparent's home around the area. we walked one big round for about an hour.. just nice time to go back to Botak to collect our prints. ok la, quite satisfied.. hehe..
went to a corner to trim away the white border.. think we probably took an hour for that? when we came out i was awed by the orange sky. yea i probably caught a headache from the drizzle. i think, sunset at serangoon is the most beautiful.

last nite had dinner at Kovan Heartland Mall Sakae Sushi.. shiok.... but v sian man, my dad v 泼冷水 one sia.. when my mom footed the bill he commented to me, "v cheap hor, not u pay one anyway." i on the spot sian diao. after tt my dad suggested 走走, look at clothes... but in the end he means i 走 on my own. once again, i on the spot sian diao. he doesn't know tt i'm broke. or else he'd nag at me.
just now went to amk to meet swee yi, to bring her to Botak to print work for portfolio.. bought a yummy white cheesy crab puff from Polar~ my lunch...
Botak told us to go upstairs to another print shop #02-13 to print our stuff cuz they have no more art card.. sian.. went upstairs n test printed mine first. i kept saying loudly, "eeeee so ugly!!" the colours turned out BAD. swee yi also test printed hers n she wasn't satisfied as well. so we said goodbye n went back to Botak.. we were almost willing to accept any kind of paper as long as they can print our work, cuz their colour is much more accurate. haha anyway there was someone who asked for swee yi's number wor~! woohoo!!
haha... swee yi 跳进黄河也洗不清了! hahaha... actually it's a 'she', n she took her number on hearing that she does animation work. wahaha.. they nv ask for mine.. wah.. but nvm.. i believe in God's will n timing.

went to look for a print shop in Highland centre, recommended by the animation guys David n Nic etc.. Super A3 only $1.. so cheap, so i went to check out its quality. i didn't like it at first sight, but i was starting to accept that i don't need my prints to be glossy n the colour turn out correct can liao. i walked from there to Serangoon Garden to find my aunt to develop photos... i hope to choose nice ones to put in my photography portfolio.
i called nic, who just woke up, to accompany me for lunch since he lives around the area. can feel tt he's quite sad.. like trying to find something to do. then when i was about to go home, we were waiting for the bus at the bus stop, i suddenly remembered to ask him whether he wan to colour his hair or not.. then not long afterwards we went to NTUC to look for hair dye. haha.. in the end we bought Gatsby gold ash colour n aluminium foil n brush from NTUC. the kinda brush u use for bbq.. wahaha..
went to his hse n he help me dye my hair, streak by streak, until i look like a freak.. ahah lame. but now i realise i shld have bought different colour and use hair dryer to make the colour come out more. then i helped him dye whole head. we finished the whole bottle. we watched Moulmein High while waiting for the colour to sink in. my colour came out.....abit orangy.. his one like no effect sia.. then around 5pm i went home, quite satisfied. haha.. had dinner with my parents but they didn't seem to notice my hair colour leh. -.-

went to sch to take photo of the nyp banner painted by the juniors.. thought of putting it in my portfolio. y? becuz it's my design la. haha.
saw weng heng david wan n vivonne so went to FJ to watch them eat. haha cuz i wasn't hungry. then went up to Blk M with them. saw michael. then eileen came. i went downstairs n saw tt the queue at the sch print shop was not that long. so i printed my stuff n went back.
went to sengkang n got some snacks to eat while waiting for swee yi. went inside metro to check out the cosmetics. nv tried Fasio brand before. so i chatted up with the salesgirl who looks like Effie. haha.. then swee yi came. we went upstairs to look at clothes for fusion. didn't really see alot of clothes that i like, so it was kinda easy to choose. thank God for metro voucher. i bought a Fasio blusher too. wanted to get the foundation but i didn't bring my other atm card. my posb account balance is $6.39. sigh. quite pai seh cuz i was about to pay for the foundation then i realised i didn't bring the card. argh~ the cashier v fierce sia.
walked around.. bought Polar white cheesy crab puff n it was HEAVEN... *droolz at the thought of it..
then i felt sleepy so we went home. supposed to eat dinner but i wanted to slp. i lie on the bed for 10 min or so then i realise i can't fall asleep. so i went to bathe n try to eat the packet of rice my dad bought. struggled with it. i think i took 1 hr ba.

my dad took leave but i already made plans. he kept asking me to go swimming during my period. wrong timing sia. anyway went to Tanjong Pagar to meet swee yi n zhang shu. i finally know how to walk to Amoy Street without going in circles in tj pagar. we went to collect swee yi's name card, then went to the food centre for lunch. had jap food cuz last time i saw the uncle who sat opp of me eat it n it looked nice~ indeed it is. i grabbed a handful of coins from my coin box before i left home for lunch n i realise my hand is not big enough. i didn't bring enough to buy drinks. but i bought tissue paper from an old man instead.
we went to chinatown for dessert. YES~! i finally know how to walk short cut there! all thanks to ann siang hill park. went to the dessert stall my mom brought me last time. had almond paste while both of them had sesame paste. then zhang shu wanted to buy shampoo from people's park complex so i led the way.. haha felt like a tour guide. i like leading the way to places pple want to go but don't know how. hehe.. after that he wanted to collect his air ticket from a travel agency in Apollo centre. while swee yi n i waited, we chatted. i mean, all the while he was present ma. so now can finally talk without him.. =P i felt like walking that day. haha.. we walked all the way to BUGIS!!! shiok ah! just one straight road passing by clarke quay n city hall. haha..
anyway he said something that stunned me. he didn't intend to print his works for fusion. i asked y, can dun print meh? n he said that we've already graduated, we dun need to listen to the school. sounds v simple, but made me think v cheem. singaporeans r just so.... obedient. i heard from somewhere, that if there's no U-turn sign, drivers dun dare to U-turn at that point. we usually wait for pple to tell us what to do. if they dun tell us that we can do this, we usually dun do it. of cuz there r pple who dare to challenge rules la. but i'm talking about the main stream, me included. he's the only china man tt i respect. >.<
anyway~ we parted in bugis. swee yi n i took bus 851 back. tired liaoz.. i dropped at yck to take 86 n then walk back home. it's really a walking day~ when i reached home my mom called to ask me go serangoon garden for dinner. my dad dropped me there before he went for cell grp. my mom paid for the photos i developed.. =D i just saved $30. i wanted to psycho her to go Sushi Tei for dinner, but she just wanted to eat wanton mee at Chomp Chomp. i was reluctant la. in the end the wanton mee sucks. we ordered sting ray too.. n to her it's not nice. aww.. then we ordered egg milk beancurd!!! one with pearls, one with ah balling. shiok ah!! must go to stall 8 one. stall 15 not nice. ok?

i wun go into detail abt my first time having period. haha.. but it was scary alright. i didn't even know what was going on, just thought i had some disease that made me pee blood. i still rem whose pad i first used, n who helped me with it.. hehehehe :P
ok now, let me give review on pads. my mom like to buy thick thick kinds.. she thinks it can absorb a lot = save money.
i first used whisper heavy. v uncomfortable. when i sit down i can't feel the chair. feel v elevated.
i 2nd used laurier. no wings one.. doesn't stick properly. v cottony. n bunches up easily. easy to get stains.
then i attended this talk for girls in my pri sch. learnt abt other pads selection. they also had samples of whisper ultra thin. that's how i started to despise the ones my mom bought.
whisper ultra thin went thru a lot of repackaging. today it is like this. i use it a lot.
i use sofy night when i bought it from thailand, cheap cheap 26 baht i think. thought it was not bad, but like v wasteful. at night when u lie down it goes straight to the back end of the pad. in the middle there's nothing. but next morning u gotta throw it away already.
recently i received a sample for laurier slimguard. at first i liked it.. but now i find tt it's not good. it's supposed to be 200 more times absorbent, but i think it makes the blood dry too fast n decay fast. whenever i see what came out is always black. haha sounds gross but i believe tt's what happens.
can't really rem what other brands i use.. i probably used kotex samples before. can't really rem how it felt. hahaha.
